    Question about Pete??

Its pretty hard to say what's true canon and what's not in the Disney universe. Just take a look at the original Goofy shorts - sometimes he acted like a clumsy goof, and other times he was the no-eared family man Mr. Geef. I always thought the Expanded Universe was indeed true Star Wars canon...

    Imagineer's little something... question.

In addition to the "CTX Rover" on the time rovers on Dinosaur, there's also a "WDI AK 98" or something like that up along a piece of wall in the loading/launch area. In Dino-Rama there's a road sign that says "98". I forget where (maybe in the queue), but there's a "98" sign at Test Track...

    Question about Pete??

I always thought the funny thing in Goof Troop was that Goofy (a dog) had a pet cat named Waffles, and Pete (a cat) had a pet dog named Chainsaw.

Who says so? We say so! The Three Caballeros!! ;)

For those that have been to DL and WDW?

I agree with the above that WDW has a better Splash, Pooh, HM, and ToT. I'll throw in that WDW has a better Innoventions - easier to access. WDW also has a better Star Tours - the ride is exactly the same but the Ewok village with the giant AT-AT is so much cooler. And the queue has more droids...

Forget nostalgia, bring me better rides! Magic Kingdom version!!!

Did they ever make a Tom Sawyer game for the NES? If they did, that would be pretty sweet! I'd want to have Injun Joe as a playable character ;) We never read Tom Sawyer as a class, but I chose it as my silent reading book in 4th or 5th grade because I wanted to read about the place I went to...

Forget nostalgia, bring me better rides! Magic Kingdom version!!!

I love the Treehouse - its the queue line ride! :) I've always got to go through it at least once every trip. Makes for good pictures too. When I was a child under 10, I didn't know who Tom Sawyer was -- that is, until I went to Tom Sawyer's Island! (Well, I guess I always knew who Tom...

If Disney were to update The Great Movie Ride???

If we're going for a Hitchcock scene why not have the theater car go through a corn field and then have an animatronic crop-duster zoom over head shooting down at us like in "North by Northwest." Or have a bunch of illusions that make it seem like the theater car is going up a bell tower like in...

If Disney were to update The Great Movie Ride???

I'd replace the Sorcerer's Apprentice scene with maybe an animatronic Sorcerer's Apprentice scene - not sure how much room they've got behind that screen though. I'd just rather have something with animatronics. I love the Tarzan scene - Johnny Weismuller was the best Tarzan ever!! "Ungawa!"...

What are the top 5 refurbs you think are needed at wdw?

#5. Tiki Birds - I would love to see the original (outside of Disneyland) again. #4. Spaceship Earth - They really need to add in some ending scenes for those of us that finish the touch-screen questions at a fast pace. #3. Pooh's Playful Spot - All that space behind it seems wasted. I would...

What exactly ARE the plans for Pleasure Island?

Why don't they just fill in the space with a couple more Rainforest Cafes? Oh, wait - I forgot, they're putting in the T-rex ;) An arcade would seem kind of redundant in the PI area. There's already an arcade at pretty much every resort (which have some pretty fun games). If Disney wants to...

Name/model of the resort alarm clocks?

Thanks all for the help. If only I could have Mickey give me a wake up call every morning - "Hey pal, time to wake up and blow your dough at my park!" ;)

Name/model of the resort alarm clocks?

I was staying at Pop Century in May and discovered that the alarm clock had a built-in noise-maker (with ocean and bayou-like sounds). I wouldn't mind getting myself one for home, but I forgot to write down (or take a picture of) the name/model of the alarm clock. Could anyone help me out?

    Space Mountain

I hope they don't turn the WDW Space Mountain into one like at DL. I love the WDW Space Mountain! The DL one is way too smooth (the music's neat, but I still prefer the sound of the track running and people screaming at the WDW one). I'm all for the rickety out-of-control feeling you get on...

    Animal Kingdom needs something new

I'm all for blowing up Camp Minnie-Mickey and putting something in with more substance in that spot. There's really nothing over there except Lion King show which could easily move to Africa. The Cookie Cabin doesn't even sell cookies anymore! I don't think they need another E-ticket ride...

    Horizon's demise

I wouldn't say that Horizons would be dated if it were still open today. All they would have had to do is update the Omnisphere movie with technology from the 90s and the 2000s. They could've also made newer ride ending videos with today's better movie technology. I also wouldn't say that its...

Anyone else kinda disappointed by Turtle Talk?

The trick is they take a real live sea turtle and put peanut butter in its mouth to make it look like its talking. ;) But really, I believe its some sort of voice recognition (Crush's mouth opens wider when the CM's voice increases in volume) along with a joystick to control Crush's body movement.

Anyone else kinda disappointed by Turtle Talk?

Oooh, yes - pick me! Me me me me!! I too am disappointed with Crush Talk. Why can't the older people ask questions, too? And why is the line so incredibly long?? Yes, the technology is cool, but its pretty similar to the talking trash cans - and they interact with older people as well a...
