yes because the people of the himalayas have belief systems devoted to the Yeti and to them its a real animal that has shaped their way of life. It's not the same as animals in a movie that are explicitly known to be made up.

It's hardly debateable if its a "theme" within the context of a "theme" park. By saying that conservation is all you need to be in line with The Animal Kingdom park, then Wall-E would be a good fit for the park as well.

Funny, I've seen the movie, saw it twice in theaters and completely understand why it would never fit in with Animal Kingdom. A lot of the people praising its addition also admit to never having seen the movie.

exactly, fictional aliens from another planet don't fit in with Animal Kingdom. Neither does all of Pandora. You don't even get the whole conservation message unless you watch the movie and before that at face value, it's a movie about aliens on another planet.

Pandora is an imaginary planet where you have to watch a movie to fully understand what it's about, it's not something instantly recognizable and inherently connected to the fabric of human history or culture.

but you're missing the forest for the trees, Kali River Rapids is one attraction in a land that does thematically fit well with the rest of the park. Pandora is going to be an entire land that will have to be part of the park's over-all identity.
