What kind of restaurant would you add if you could???

I should have mentioned I went to Rutgers, back when the "original" grease trucks were there - parked up and down College Ave. Not located in a converted parking lot. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grease_trucks This was before the advent of the "Fat" sandwich. Fat Cats were always around...

Interesting new transportation Option: Whoosh - Autonomous Elevated Cable & Rail System

It is not like a gondola system. The Cable Liner looks pretty much like the current Air Train, but there is a cable under the track that haul the trains around. The current Air Train at EWR runs 24/7/365. They change out the number of trains running, but there is always at least one in...

Interesting new transportation Option: Whoosh - Autonomous Elevated Cable & Rail System

It is actually quite easy to do when there are two factors that come into play 1. ALL of the vehicles in the system are controlled by the "computer" 2. The paths (roads / cables / rails) are well defined and the vehicles are constrained to the path. The problem with motor vehicles is that most...

What kind of restaurant would you add if you could???

Cheesesteak Hoagie. When I was in college, my normal plan on a Thursday night after the bars closed was to hit the Grease Trucks (Mr. C's Munch Mobile was my go-to) and get a cheesesteak hoagie with two fried eggs added. I ordered them so often that once in a while they would throw some bacon...

Likelihood of Tables in Wonderland returning.

I remember having to go to EPCOT. I believe the external guest relations booth, but maybe it was the internal one, to get my card. It was only available in person. I want to say at some point it was available for all, and then it became Florida residents and DVC only? In my mind I remember...

Likelihood of Tables in Wonderland returning.

The thing about he TIW program was it was very simple to see if it was worth it or not. Unlike the DDP where they hide the actual cost of the plan by lumping together snacks, QS, and TS meals, along with artificially inflated menu prices, "free" offers, and other such shenanigans, the TIW was...

News New Disney's Hollywood Studios Menu Items Coming to Sci-Fi Dine-In and Mama Melrose's Ristorante October 2024

There is wagyu and there is wagyu. The fact that this is a braised dish leads me to believe that this is lower grade (1 or 2) wagyu, and is likely "American Wagyu". If you have some A5 Kobe, why would you braise it? These items are all things that can easily be thrown together using Sysco...

    Tom Sawer Island closing date

I used to have responsibility for certain microwave transmission towers. Many of these are in areas that are impractical to serve via fiber or copper telecommunications. Turns out that many of those impractical areas are historic or Native American. Anytime we wanted to anything to a tower that...

For some reason I've never done this at Disney, but always wanted to someday (the festival of the arts at Epcot)

I have a framed giclee similar to this one - https://disneyfineart.com/collections/tim-rogerson/products/too-many-cooks It is the same size, frame, and artist (Tim Rogerson) but it is an other one of his works for Food and Wine (10 cheers for 10 years - I may have that number incorrect)...

Likelihood of Tables in Wonderland returning.

TIW died a slow painful death. They slowly began nerfing it a long time ago. Years ago, when it was DDE, it was such a great value. Then they the changed the name (which I understand, it was too close to DDP and confused the heck out of the servers at times). Then slowly the price for TIW...

Meals That You Miss at WDW

I have a love/hate affair with Figaro Fries. They were just so bad, but at the same time so good. They were also horrible from a nutrition standpoint, but they were also one of the best bangs for the buck when it came to filling you up. They were a guilty pleasure that I ate once or twice a trip.

    Cast Member Standards

It's not even just theme parks. I work in telecom. We have some executives that kind of flaunt the rules (not that we have many rules from a dress, appearance, or such things, but there are "norms" in any business) but it seems the ones that do, are able to do so because they are brilliant...

I think it is also because of the amount of knowledge that has to be imparted. Years ago it was relatively simple to teach new CMs both Disney history as well as park operations. Now, there are a LOT more Disney media items out there - more characters, more shows, more games, more cannon...
