    Soda without HFCS at Disney

Just because it is an individual serving in a glass bottle does not mean it is HFCS free. Case in point, Ramune has HFCS if it is bottled in the US Jarritos is a Mexican soda, that when sold in the US still uses cane sugar. It is becoming more and more available. Maybe it shows in the...

What would a day at Disney World look like with snow?

Chaos would break out. The busses could not run, the parking lots would be impassable, there would be car accidents everywhere and CMs would be bundled up like they were on an artic expedition. The southern States are ill equipped to deal with snow (for good reason, they rarely get any). My...

    Long European cruise questions/tips

The time that a ship arrives at the point where a harbor pilot needs to come on board is usually pretty accurate everywhere. Cruise ships tend to go much slower than they can. They have plenty of time to make it to port. Hopefully there is a pilot available and the ship gets to tie up on time...

News Disney Cruise Line Raises Pre-Paid Gratuity Recommendations for 2025 Sailings

I have done this myself. I made extensive complaints about my room once on a DCL cruise. It was not the fault of anybody on the ship. I still tipped generously. They all did their best to do what they could.

    Prices up…profits down…

Stopping discount to spur travel is one things. Today's pricing is not neutral. It is actively discouraging me from going again. So much so that we are looking at either Hilton Head, Hawaii, or renting out our DVC points.

    Prices up…profits down…

I am looking at footing the bill for 4 adults this time. Plus my 26 y/o daughter who is on her own likes to come with us, but she pays her own way. She is young, and not earning huge bucks (and has a mortgage, and bills, etc) I'm going to have to tell her that her park ticket is north of $600

I have not been to WDW in 2 years now (we used to go on a more frequent basis, but started branching out for family vacations, and my wife and I no longer go to F&W ever since they nerfed it post-COVID). We have DVC, so we don't really look at room costs Airfare is what it is - not something...

    Cast Member Standards

It is a pendulum, that you would hope settles at a happy medium, but so far has not. Employee abuse swings to employer abuse. Giving your all only to be abused and laid off swings to quiet quitting. A middle ground where it is fair for everybody can be hard to maintain, since it is easily upset.

what has happened to the " star wars " hotel?

I think one of the missing concepts is that you have to look at entire families. Galaxy's Edge was an immersive Star Wars experience. Let's say you have a family of 5. One parent is a hard core fan, and one kid is a hard core fan. The other kid is of the opinion that Star Wars is OK, but is...

What Are Your FAVORITE In Park Meetable Characters and experiences with them?

Hook has that giant head, plus a hat. That add a lot of height as well.

Disney Plus Now Embedded Into Resort TV’s

As somebody who is kind of involved in streaming services and authentication, if it was not set up from the start to accommodate something like bulk "free" logins, it is not that easy to implement after the fact. I would have thought that D+ did think of this at the start, but maybe they did not.

What Are Your FAVORITE In Park Meetable Characters and experiences with them?

During the first F&W half marathon, Darth Vader was pretty cool. Mainly because of his whole towering over people and staring down at them routine that he was doing to runners that stopped to see him. I'm 6'4" - it didn't work with me. :-)

First Timer - Hotel Suggestions for Cruise Eve (Florida)

When I did so, I stayed at the Comfort Inn, which fits your description - nothing fancy. I believe my review was "serviceable" Did a quick search though, and it looks like there is no longer a Comfort Inn in Port Canaveral.

    Prices up…profits down…

I did experience the one line system, and it did work as you described. I also experienced the old FP system, and it was pretty good as well. Not only were there a limited number of fast passes per attraction per day, but you could only hold one fast pass at a time (sort of, there were ways to...

    Prices up…profits down…

I feel the same way. I am lucky that I no longer have to actively save for a trip. We save for a vacation in general, but it is no long something like watching every dime so we could do to WDW. But when I was saving for a trip, I didn't feel like I was being robbed once I got there. Sure...

Do you mean the food at Blue Lagoon, or the food in Iceland in general? Blue Lagoon is nice, but it is a tourist trap. There are plenty of other thermal baths that are less commercial than Blue Lagoon. There is also plenty of excellent meals to be had in Iceland.
