Official resort transportation has typically only been offered from on property resorts. I can't recall if the Swolphin falls in that group, but for them it's easy enough to walk to Boardwalk/Yacht/Beach. And for some smaller events, they were even further restricted to "host hotels".

Look at it the other way. It lets them have an event themed to the flavor of the month, IE whatever hot property they want to profit off of, without having to explain why it's got a different event name each year. They can change all the distance characters and such, without having to change...

Did a double yesterday. 12@13:30 with DW & DS on his bike in the AM, then another 5@10:30 by myself in the PM. Our long run got cut short, so I did the best I could.
