Nanea Volcano feature pool at Disney's Polynesian Resort closing in August for extended refurb

So Blizzard Beach instead of the resort pool..that's..inconvenient. Its not even like BB is near the Poly. I guess guests just looking for a few hours out of the park to swim at their resort won't be able to do that. Why wouldn't they allow these guests to use another pool on the monorail line...

Spirited Spring Break News, Observations & Thoughts ...

I miss Psych already. When's the Psych/Monk crossover Holiday Special? He's already rearranging the ktichen, might as well expose him to a fake psychic and sidekick. :P

Spirited Spring Break News, Observations & Thoughts ...

I've been wondering on the whole 'too big to fail MM+' issue, is there an alternate market use for the MagicBands if this whole MM+ does indeed get pulled? They've put them in the stores with significant 'real estate' devoted to them. Its not like they were only given to one select group at one...

Spirited Spring Break News, Observations & Thoughts ...

That is scary for so many reasons. 1- Looks like some mutated science experiment of a manasaur. 2- This isn't a child-friendly dino like a triceratops or brontosaurus and looks like its about to make a meal of the two children in the picture in front of it. 3- Anyone else immediately thinking of...

Spirited Spring Break News, Observations & Thoughts ...

I wondered, when I read this, if Iger feels that the information is inflated or can't believe that its as bad as it might be, depending on what the info is saying. Either way, its probably not what he expected and that's why he's not trusting it.

    Scariest moment at the park?

I may be in the minority but I could swear they can turn it off. I was on GMR once and there was a little kid in the front row with his or her family and was freaking out after the Wicked Witch (also not a fan as she is the base of my witch fear but knew she was there thanks to seeing that part...

    Scariest moment at the park?

The old Snow White ride..when the car comes up on the queen and you only see her back and then she turns quick and its the 'witch'. I'd never wanted to go on that ride before but figured I'd go, it was a 'classic' etc,. The ride system wasn't scary but I've never been a fan of that movie or any...

Is this a hint of something? Maybe? Possibly? I can finally answer the question of who my favorite princess is without being annoyed that Alice isn't a princess.

Where would you stay on a solo trip?

I did a solo trip. I stayed at All Star Sports because I'd stayed there when it first opened and it was nice. Nine years later...not so much. Major nickel and diming down to towels and Mousekeeping or lack there of. For what might wind up to be only a few dollars more, I'd probably now stay at...

    Illuminations Preferred Viewing Area

I wish they'd stop doing this. If someone gets there early, they get a better spot. Enough with separated MM+ viewing areas. Especially if they're also building restaurants WS side that take up other formerly free spaces. This is really reaching for uses and justification of MM+. Build more...

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

I'm happy to hear he wasn't thinking, 'Oh this is interesting.' The money lined pockets I'd imagine. Basically they did demo of the original and then put in an upside down toilet and skunk smells. I'm not an imagineer, but as it wasn't a whole building leveled, and they kept the Imageworks...

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

I don't know if this was mentioned yet, but was Eisner shaking his head and muttering "What on earth have they done?" seeing what's become of Future World and well every other section of the parks that has changed for the worst? Pointing out what used to be there with the help of an old map...

The first obviously being The Great Muppet Caper. But I can deal with a close second. Caper still holds up though for a new generation of kids.

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

Maybe its just me but does any one else want to mess with the magic bands and attach them to a cat or squirrel (some mobile form of animal life in the park)for the day and let the powers that be try and decipher that info? :P

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

I completely agree. I was merely saying that if Uni's 'value' resorts which I think have alot more going for them than WDW's stay at a lower price point consistently, then will the prices of those ever come down. What I mentioned with the tickets was more for comparison that they all follow that...

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

So I wonder if all the theme parks jump on board when there's a price hike on ticket, will any (Disney) look at this and what their value prices/perks, and lower the prices? Probably not but if they want people to stay on site and spend money, and will be losing people to UNI, eventually maybe...

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

Hmm more to add to the Hasbro theory..wasn't Mr. Potato Head a Hasbro toy? And there are stores that have him and the Mrs. with all these Disney themed parts, correct? Wasn't there also something for the older My Little Pony's too? Also with being able to buy parts/outfits? Both Hasbro owned...

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

Wasn't Save Elroy the old UO movie/attraction back in the 90s? I remember him playing a big part. I was thinking more #savescooby since a talking dog like that might be forced to now walk upright in pants and a silly hat.

Marvel teases a Journey into Imagination comic

Too funny. I had a weird thought of the old 80s Dungeon and Dragons Saturday morning cartoon. I wasn't a fan of any of that stuff but the premise where these people got on an abandoned (was it abandoned? I never really watched the show past the opening) ride and were transported to whatever...

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

Also loved the Jetsons. Horizons actually reminded me as a kid of what a 'real life' Jetsons apartment would look like. :) The Jetsons and Scooby. But it does bear the question, who owns them? I know they're on Cartoon Network/Boomerang. So...are they TW owned? Would they be up for sale along...
