To affirm your reservation when you book it makes no sense unless you are booking within 5 days of arrival. The resort has no clue who you are or that you even have a reservation until it downloads to them.

Generally when the information downloads to the resorts approx. 5 days prior to arrival, they check for requests, at which point they will assign those rooms, again not guaranteed, but you want your request on your reservation for when it downloads. Don't wait until you get there.

You can call the resort 5 days prior to arrival and they should be able to tell you where you will be. If you have a special request, call the res center or your travel agent and make sure they make a note of the request on your reservations. Resorts try and honor requests whenever possible...

So sorry, but your room rate does not include your park admissions. You would probably be best off booking a package that includes the Park Hopper Plus. That would give you the water parks etc. You can get them for as many days as you would like.

That is how it used to work. DRC does not control the room availability. It is handled by Revenue Control. Unless they release the rooms no one at DRC has access to them. Yes, Orbitz has their own block of rooms. They purchase them from Disney so Disney has already been paid for them. But...

They had a class finish training, hit the floor, work for 1/2 hour and they all got up and walked out. Stress is just not worth it.

It's not the people making the reservations that make it stressful, they are usually wonderful to work with. It's management and how they treat the employees that make it bad.

I think everyone missed the point here. What stirred the pot was someone complaining about their meager pay and yet staying at a deluxe resort. Question should have been left at, "how do you go about getting an upgrade" and not going into detail about how much you are paid as a teacher...

For the record Eric, my son is a doctor so I am well aware of the cost of the education and the years of training they go through. I was only saying that it is your choice what you want to do with your life. Being a teacher is a very admirable profession and had it not been for good teachers...

Most requests are for the MK view not the Lagoon, that is why you made out okay. They didn't charge you because unless they changed things from when I left there in April a year ago, both Lagoon and MK view were the same price.
