MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

With Iger's recent comments regarding Disney possibly slowing/canceling projects regarding tariffs, could this be the thing that saves TSI and the Riverboat? (obviously not worth the cratering of the world economy, but perhaps a silver lining? lol)

News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

Silo'ing discussions does a disservice to the discussion itself. Just my thoughts

Tower of Terror effects status watch

If you notice a flaw in Tower of Terror, it's almost certainly due to improper maintenance. I'm certain they're supposed to touch the ground

News Disney Leaders Explain How the 'Disney Bubble' Shapes the Guest Experience and What's Next

I've actually thought about this before, and I'm wondering...how wrong was he? There are of course some attractions that are fully contained within the walkable area of the park., especially with flat rides and Fantasyland. But ignoring those (given they're not a truly immersive experience)...

DHS Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

Watched a video of Iron Man and it looked like total nonsense. As for animatronics, other placements where they could work: at the countdown launch, and less likely, the tunnel at the end (not even sure there's room there)

DHS Walt Disney Imagineering Files Permit for Star Tours at Hollywood Studios

Agreed. It was a GOOD idea at the time (even if I question how clear it truly was to the average guest, including me at first), but it makes zero sense these days, and just feels cheap, despite how impressive the figures otherwise are

Tbf the original Cars Ride isn't Test Track speeds either

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

That's exciting! Especially as Indiana Jones hasn't really had too many animatronics otherwise, outside of Indy himself and the Snake (not that it needed them, as the ride's great). But then again, Dinosaur had quite a few cool animatronics too. I suspect the new version won't have as many as...

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I mean, it's hard not to compare when what existed before was so great. It's clear this ride didn't have nearly as much thought or care put into it as its predecessor.

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

The entire climax of the ride is a disaster, beyond the complete lack of suspense. We're supposedly in a salt mine during that main drop, right? But there's NOTHING to indicate that on the inside? Then how does Mama Odie get from her magical window or whatever to the little alcove at the top...

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

Yes, that would probably be fine/better. I was talking strictly about static figures like the Armadillo near the end of the ride, or the Louis early on who's stuck looking in a hole or something without any movement. It just feels super cheap.

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I strongly dislike the static critters too (not even counting the animatronics that are slowly turned into static figures themselves too lol). It actively takes away from the illusion of it being a "real" place. I'd rather nothing than static figures of "alive" creatures. Splash Mountain handled...

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Agreed. Especially since the park now has at least two dead-ends counting Sunset Blvd. I don't hate it in the latter's case, but now with two, this could get annoying. But then again, Universal's about to open a park with 4 deadends (and possibly 6 eventually lol)

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Which is a surprisingly fun ride imo. I expected something for babies, but I actually sound it surprisingly thrilling (coming from one who loves roller coasters, including the intense ones at Six Flags). I imagine this one will feel even faster being indoors

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I misread Oceania as just "Ocean;" yes I think that's a fine idea

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Ocean would be cool, but might be redundant with the Living Seas, unless they move everything there? I would love if they added another continent though, such as Australia

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Plus Dinoland USA's parking lot was a blight on an otherwise brilliantly themed park (even if I respect how Joe tried to make it work with the budget they had).

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I don't think you can use that one data point to draw any reasonable conclusion. For instance, that drop may have been a lot steeper were it not for Super Nintendo World. Furthermore, USJ had seen a steep growth trajectory since SNW opened in early 2021, with 2023 (nearly 3 years after the...

DAK “Zootopia” is being created for the Tree of Life theater

Fair I suppose, though that's not an angle I would have thought of had you not mentioned it. I also don't think it precludes Indy from admiring an animal. In any case, Dinosaur did much of the same thing as you're saying Indy did, besides the Seeker story.
