I'm going, going back, back to Cali, Cali.....

Congrats on the trip to DLR! We are heading there in June (it's been 35 years since I've been there), taking my mom and 13 year old daughter. On our trip to WDW last year I got out of going though the scanner, just regular metal detectors for my daughter and I, but they made my 72 yr old mother...

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

I just hope it is more than a themed bathroom and another freaking meet and greet at this point.

Attractions Built Since 2005: Have I Got This Right?

Thanks for the list. This (and MM+) is why we are skipping WDW this year and heading to DL in June. I am a huge WDW fan but it has just become stale after our last 3 trips.

I'm breaking ranks and going West

We are doing the same thing. Our trip last year to WDW was disappointing compared to our previous visits, and we really are not looking forward to the whole MM+ debacle , so we bailed on our next WDW trip and booked for DL for the last week in June. Really looking forward to it. Staying for a...

Guide to DLR for WDW Veterans!

We just booked our trip to DL for the last week in June. I know it will be crowded but after our last three trips to WDW we wanted to try something different as it has gotten stale for us at WDW, plus we are looking forward to seeing CA. I haven't been there since I was 6. We are staying at the...

    Confess your Disney Sins!!!!

I have only gone on M:S on one trip (rode both green and orange the same day) and haven't done it since. I hate it. The ride doesn't make me feel sick, but the thought of what it replaced does. The only show I have seen is Indiana Jones when I was 11, and we skipped out before it was over...

Did I Really Just See That.....in Disney World?????

When I was 11 (1984) at WDW with my Mom the people in front of us handed their kid a wad of napkins and sent him into the bushes to take a dump while we were in line. I can't remember what attraction we were waiting for (or the park we were in) maybe my mother remembers. Yuck.

    Epcot's Continued Sad Condition

My first trip to EPCOT Center was in early 1984 when I was 11. I was in complete awe of the size and the theme of future world back then. The optimism of a better future really stuck with me, I think it shaped my interest in science leading me to pursue a scientific career (bioanalytical...

    Guilty Pleasures at WDW

For me it would be all the food, the DDP gives you an insane amount of food and I take full advantage of that. I actually loose weight on the trip even while eating like a hog, due to so much walking.

    Food poisoning claims with Disney

I don't understand why everyone is denying the possibility of food poisoning here. The food is most likely prepared in large quantities and kept warm, all it takes is one contaminated finger/utensil touching the bulk food and a slight deviation in temperature to make people sick. That being...

    Food poisoning claims with Disney

I agree (American here), it's gross not to wash you hands after using the bathroom. I'm not a germ freak by any means, but when traveling and at WDW I make sure to wash my hands very frequently, before each meal (before getting to the table), use sanitizer or washing hands after riding...

    Food poisoning claims with Disney

At the end of our 2011 trip, my daughter became sick after eating at La Hacienda (she had fish and was the only one of us that was sick). Pretty sure it wasn't norovirus as no one else got sick considering how contagious it is (cleaning up after a sick kid is almost a guarantee to get it, it's...

Mission: Space -- How is it really?

I've tried both, green and orange. Neither made me sick or anything. Overall it was meh, pressing do-nothing buttons and hoping the person next to me doesn't barf on me while watching an outdated cgi video. I haven't gone on it since. Seems like a lame replacement for Horizons, I guess I prefer...

    NEVER AGAIN!

For rides it would be Stitch (no explanation needed), Mission Space (feels like getting shoved in a closet that smells like stale puke and watching a crappy video tape), and Astro Orbiter (the rockets are way to painful for me to sit in). For Dining it would be Via Napoli (just horrible on our...

Chef Remy's last day October 24

Glad we got to see him for our first (and now only) time when we were there in January. My daughter really liked him.

"Rapid Fill" Mugs Coming to Walt Disney World Hotels

And beer. I saw a guy with two cases of beer get on the bus heading to AoA from downtown disney when we were there in late January (the bus driver gave him a look :)) As for the RFID cups, i am looking forward to new interactive queues and FP+ at the refill stations...
