    What did you do?

NYRR 18 Mile Marathon Tuneup. This was an 18 mile race, not a training run. The course was three loops of Central Park which meant there was not a whole lot of flat terrain to be found (and a little mind numbing on the repetition factor). I wanted to run this as a training run and not worry...

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

I would like to believe that they will continue with how many of those shoes they have sold this year. From what I head they were still a hot commodity at Disneyland this month. The only way I can see them stopping is if Disney goes with a new shoe sponsor for 2015.

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

The runDisney vinylmation for 2015 have been previewed, now with Mickey and Minnie (though her eyes look a little off to me). http://vinylmationworld.com/VMworldmob/wordpress/preview-upcoming-2015-run-disney-eachez-vinylmations (I didn't want to steal the photos and post them here since its...

    What did you do?

@TeddyinMO - nice job! Today - 10.1 miles @9:13/mi pace. First time I pulled double digits before work so I am pretty pumped about that. The countdown to happy hour starts now...

    Help/advice/anything please

Good luck! I think we all have a friend like this and I hope it all works out for you in the end. It would be better for both of you if she booked her own airfare, just to save the potential drama down the line if she does decide to cancel and she wants money back from you, that way she'll...

    What did you do?

A little over 5ish miles in an unknown pace. No, it wasn't watch free Wednesday, it was watch died Wednesday. How the Garmin beep of the death sends chills down my spine, only heard it twice before it was totally done for.

    What did you do?

Seeing that I ran only once while on vacation (Yasso 800s x 8) I was kind of afraid I lost everything I had built up during my current marathon training cycle. Today would be the true test of that with a 9 mile tempo run. Mentally I really didn't think this run was going to happen, either length...

    What did you do?

Back from a wonderful week cruising in Bermuda. Very glad I took today off before heading back to work tomorrow because we definitely hit it hard on the last night of the cruise and my body was not ready for anything yesterday and required a good 12 hour sleep to get back to normal. Today I was...

    What did you do?

Yesterday - 19 miles in 3 hours. This run felt better than the 17 miles the week before both during the run and recovering afterwards. Now that I have that checked off my list, its time for vacation. Leaving for a cruise to Bermuda in 3 hours. Running plans for vacation - all on the treadmill...

    What did you do?

9.10 mi MGP run @ 8:41/mi. Only one split was over my desired 8:45/mi pace which was climbing over the Queensboro bridge. I have been told by NYC marathon pros NOT to run this bridge at pace during the marathon because you will waste too much energy. They recommend that you run it based on...

    What did you do?

Agreed! I ran with one for a little over a mile including the uphill portion of a causal 5k to relieve a friend who was struggling with it. I felt like I was running an 8:30/mi, when I looked at my Garmin after the race and I was floored to see that it was actually around 10 min/mi.

    What did you do?

@JillC LI - you are correct, that is such a fun word that will get you some funny looks if you say in the 'real world' @Sumrdog - have a blast! Especially running with your daughter, that is something very special. Today- 6.36 mi @9:06/mi. I am tired people. If I had a run planned for...

    What did you do?

I am doing a modified Hal Higdon Intermediate 2 (I added speed and hill work) in preparation for the NYC Marathon on November 2. My Dopey training is going to officially start after the marathon. Actual Dopey training plan is a bit TBD right now. I have my official Dopey dry run set for the week...

    What did you do?

Saturday - 17 miles - this was the end of a 53 mile week for me so to say that my legs were fatigued would be the understatement of the century. My legs were dead the entire run, everything else felt fine so I really had to push myself mentally to get through this run which felt like it was...

    What did you do?

Run faster to make up the mileage? :hilarious: Today to avoid a 3:30am wake up I decided to run to work for the first time. I got to "sleep in" until 4:30 and then comfortably fit in my 8 miles and a shower before clocking in at 6:45am. I am not sure if this will be feasible for my marathon...

    What did you do?

Things I destroyed this morning before work. - 8 miles - an enormous iced coffee and breakfast sandwich after previously mentioned 8 miles. - a handful of peanut butter filled pretzels - these are my weakness @Kristia - hope you feel better soon, are you doing the RnR Philly Half?

    What did you do?

I am indeed putting Mr Yasso's method to the test, I am doing the 800s a bit faster than my goal time but I am hoping that results in a nice surprise on race day. I am so happy to only have three more sessions left before the marathon.
