Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

What is the hourly capacity, then? What @AidenRodriguez731 is posting is in line with most of the information available online, including in this thread. I have always assumed Haunted Mansion was renowned for having a very high capacity, so I am genuinely curious to know if that is a myth.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I also don't think TripAdvisor views tell you much and, overall, it seems Epic has had a positive response since opening, operational difficulties notwithstanding. However, let's not be disingenuous. Whatever Disney attendance is doing this summer, I don't think anyone would seriously suggest...

MK All-New Nighttime Parade Disney Starlight Set to Debut at Magic Kingdom in 2025

Must say that this kind of reaction puzzles me more than a positive one. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think this kind of reaction suits something like Light Magic more than Starlight, which is less definitely excellent or terrible. My general feeling is positive on the...

Universal rumored to be in talks with Elon Musk’s Boring Co.

I have not followed the Vegas Loop project particularly closely, but my impression was that it turned out to be essentially an underground Tesla taxi service with pretty low capacity. Would that really be worth all the effort replicating in Florida?

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

I may be way off with this impression, but there seems to be a real problem with the corporate culture at WDW that leads to a wild inconsistency in the quality and appropriateness of changes and additions. One little example would be the "crazy tiki" style of BouTiki and some other decorations...

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Yes, of everything coming to WDW, this is the one about which I don't really see any major negatives. Also very happy to be getting a big, new family dark ride rather than yet another thrill ride/rollercoaster. Animal Kingdom remains the park where they seem to be the most thoughtful about...

Disney's NiteTails: KiteTails with little sparking lights attached. Problem solved and you can have that idea for free, Disney. I renounce all future claims for royalties and other payments.

    Americas 250 year celebration

I think this is the bigger point: times change and the country is in a different cultural moment than it was in 1976. The way Disney celebrated the bicentenary was in tune with how the country celebrated it more broadly at the time and probably will be next year for the 250th. I'm not from the...

I love the care they seem to have for their attractions over in Paris.

MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

It was a very interesting D23 considering how much buildup there was regarding the announcement of new expansions and how flat most of it fell. That was even before it was confirmed where this new Cars area was going. I am fairly sceptical that a Villains land is as good an idea as fans assume...

    Elio (Pixar - June 2025)

It seems very possible. Even the Hollywood Reporter article that was fairly sympathetic to the perspective of those involved with the original version noted that the initial test screening suggested issues when literally no-one said they would see it in the cinema.

    Elio (Pixar - June 2025)

Yeah, I must say that, for all this talk about how all the creative turmoil during the process of making the film, the end result was actually a very good film. Why it didn't motivate people to see it is a valid topic for discussion, but all the indicators we have suggest those who saw it liked it.

    Elio (Pixar - June 2025)

The critical response to these projects also suggests that Lasseter doesn't possess some sort of innate magic that would turn Pixar around. I don't know really what to say about the reports of Elio's troubled production. On the one hand, I lean toward the idea that the Molina version couldn't...

MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

But this kind of highlights a huge issue with the project: they have to try and make the land look as little as possible like what it is in order to minimise how much it clashes with the surrounding areas. Ultimately, this is a land populated solely by anthropomorphic cars in which built...

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Fair enough. I apologise that I allowed your profile picture featuring the Disney CEO with his eyes whited out and replaced with dollar signs and his head surrounded by money to influence my impression of your views on Disney's current projects.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Could well be, though dining seems to be the draw at Epcot. This may be going a little too further afield, but one of the bigger theme park mysteries is why Disneyland Paris seems to close food and beverage early when it seems everything that remains open is slammed. I guess maybe f&b isn't as...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

I don't think I would say I was disappointed with it, but it was smaller than I was expecting. From the looks of it, the land is extended a little around the lake in Paris which is a positive as it is... brave of them to hang the lake extension on this one-attraction land

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

At the end of the day, you don't know what the attraction is going to be. None of us do. I could just as easily maintain that of course they are going to centre it around animals and it will be appropriate for the park because that is what they have indicated, but I have as little idea if that...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

This may be a bit divisive, but I think the fireworks are another area where the hotel doesn't make for a great backdrop. I'm not sure quite how you overcome that, but I almost wonder whether they should be thinking of a Fantasmic-style set-up to add a night show to the park.
