The same thing happened to us a few years ago. We broke down near the end with the Rover.in the "up" position. They wheeled the ladder over to us and we got to walk down the somewhat steep and sticky ramp. The consolation Fastpass was nice but I agree with preferring it with the lights out.

I had the same question on regards to opening night. It certainly didn't seem that busy, perhaps due to the rain and wind.

No I have not been to Disneyland yet. My daughter flew out with her DCP roommate last year. We are hoping to check it out for ourselves in a year or so. I just hope their Space Mountain is easier on my spine!

Considering that Space Mountain isn't my favorite roller coaster, I enjoyed the holiday overlay. We first saw it on the Alpha track. We did it again later on Omega track and it wasn't as enjoyable... but part of that might be due to the track itself.

I went to "Traction Park" once in 1987. The cliff diving was crazy. The park was pretty crowded and the water was frigid even in the middle of the summer! The only injury I ever got there was on the Alpine slide. Basically, you sat on a sled that had some kind of brake. You went down the side...

I'm glad we bought our tickets for opening night 2 weeks ago. I'm sure the park will be crazy between it being "Jersey week" and then Veterans Day falling on Monday.
