Hey, Jake has some great acting credits to his name. I think an actor with a strong range working on an action film should be a nice change of pace. Plus, it's Bruckheimer so you know you'll get amazing effects and action.
I was really won over when I heard Gyllenhaal talking about the...
I've seen a bunch of really positive reviews for Princess and the Frog. And I agree that it and Avatar could both succeed. I am excited to see the box office numbers!
Here are some of those reviews I mentioned - just in case anyone was doubting this movie!

What a detailed review - thanks! I personally like the Ne-Yo addition, have you seen the music video? (there are two versions, here is the animated one.)
I've read such amazing reviews. The Hollywood Reporter went crazy for the movie and of course Newman's score.
I've seen just about all the film clips and I laughed - when looking for a comedy, that's a good sign for me. Plus Robin Williams always makes me chuckle. For me it's got the cast and the entertainment value to get to the theater.
Very exciting. The mix of humor, with the banter between Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton, and the action sequences were really entertaining. Seems like the perfect movie to open Memorial Day weekend. Did anyone notice Sir Ben Kingsley?? he looks so villainous!
I support your reviews. I did think Carrey mastered Scrooge and I really couldn't tell it was him playing the three other ghosts - a testament to the special effects! I also thought the film lived up to the novel in a way that few other films have in the past. I totally agree that it should...
You know I don't know, but I have noticed that a lot of fairly popular films aren't on iTunes...disappointing. I guess I am to spoiled lol I want those movies when I want them!
The cast for this one caught my eye - Robin Williams, John Travolta, and Kelly Preston. Opens pretty soon - November 25th.
Here is the trailer - Travolta & Williams in scout uniforms is priceless.
Considering the Holiday season is starting so soon, I wanted to ask what are your favorite Disney films to watch around this time of year. I'd have to put The Muppet Christmas Carol at the top of my list!
Sure thing!! I'm jealous of those guys! If you're into the hand drawn animation aspects of the film (who isn't!?!?) then you should watch these video that show the animators developing some of the characters - pretty outstanding work!
Here is the video about Dr. Facilier and the video about Louis.
I love that it shows the earlier stages too! Really makes you admire how far the work comes from the pencil sketches to the finished product. I would say the animation is breathtaking - those colors and just thinking about someone hand drawing ALL of that is pretty outstanding, you know?
I...
3D just adds to much to the experience in my opinion.
Have you had a chance to see the Train Tour? came to DC recently and it's amazing that all those exhibits AND tons of 3D footage is all for FREE! Here is a review of the tour from another stop for anyone that hasn't gone yet.
I remember going to see it with my parents and thinking that the animation was outstanding. That and Woody was my favorite character - just loved him and still do! I mean can you really think of anyone else besides Tom Hanks that could have done a better job? Any other favorite characters...
I never got a chance to see the second one in the theater and NO ONE has seen them in 3D! Should be outstanding, I mean TS1 put Pixar on the map. And considering you are only paying for one film - you basically get to see TS2 for FREE!
Exactly - I have enjoyed many of the previous adaptations and I don't think anyone of them takes away from another, but it is very exciting when someone can honor a classic and bring us something new, as this film seems to do.
I am heading to the train tour soon (at it's DC stop) so I'll be...
