Even better, I just stepped off of PotC after it opened again from a temporary closure. The work lights are all on. When I asked a cast member, I was told they decided to leave them on because of whatever caused the earlier closure.

Totally understand that since I've done both, but I don't see anything in the description of the system that implies costumes. I only see the authors opinion they are trying to cash in on the Cosplay/LARPing craze. I could be wrong though and it states plainly "costumes will be used"

I'm not sure if that remark is of delight or horror, but I should note that the color is possibly exaggerated from camera and software... I'd be glad to send the original RAW image to someone more experienced. I didn't realize I was shooting in RAW until after I got back.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned, but wouldn't the "Friends and Family" option make it easier to get fast passes on the fly for groups? I imagine one person could use their app to pick a fp+ and then assign it to the rest of the group. No more shortest straw has to get the fastpasses while...

Yep. The walls now match the castle (crest wise) if I remember correctly.

If you have time machine, I would highly recommend going back 6-7 years to have the ears embroidered by hand. But that's just me :)
