If YOU were in Disney right now, what would YOU be doing?

Kidd's get me to the bathroom on the double ADR list for July

I just threw up a little bit in my mouth. I thought we had a lot of ADRs for our trip. Sheesh. Oh, and enjoy. Looks delicious. Cheers, Indy

A camera question for all you Disney photographers out there!

I've used the Nikon D40x and know several people that have the new Nikon D5000. The beauty of any of the Nikon DSLRs is you can be as simple or as intricate as you want. The point and shoot ability is fantastic, but if you're into photography it doesn't get in the way. I have no experience...

    Decent backpack for the parks

We go in July, myself, DW, and DD4 . . . Water bottles, juice boxes, snacks, sunscreen, ponchos, camera, first aid kit, Advil, extra batteries, small umbrella, maps, plastic bags, DD's autograph book, touring plans, . . . heck, I even strap the umbrella stroller to it when DD's not in it. And...

    DME questions

Back in 2006 my DW, Sister and I rode DME while my father rented a car and met us there. It's an option, and we reached the resort within 5 minutes of each other. If you're worried, I'd do something like that. Then if you get a decently sized car, you don't need to take DME back. Cheers, Indy

    Decent backpack for the parks

I use a Jansport bag I bought 10 years ago for college. It's not the traditional three pouch one, though. It has on main pouch, then these movable secondary pouches that clip on one side and fold out, exposing these straps underneath, which all I can assume they were for was a skateboard...

    CSR with DD4

Buzz - Great site. Lots of info. And thanks for all the other input. Starting to look forward to our CSR visit after a skeptical start. -Indy

Name an attraction that reminds you of a past loved one

Haunted Mansion and The Great Movie Ride make me think of my Mother. They were her faves. That and Sci Fi Dine In Theater, which isn't a ride, but reminds me of her nonetheless. Indy

    CSR with DD4

So I switched from CBR to CSR for our July trip after getting a free Dining Pin. They had no standard rooms at CBR so had to switch to CSR to save the $$. I'm cool with it. DW is a bit skeptical because she's reading reviews that say it's not super kid-friendly. True or not? We'll be...

How Much Do You Spend Per Day?

And that's why I recommend the dining plan. I haven't even been on a trip using the dining plan yet (first one in July), but am such an advocate of it already. I see it as a break even (except that we just got a free dining pin to use, so, um, yeah), but the real advantage of it is that your...

How Much Do You Spend Per Day?

I'm in a similar situation (party of 3) and estimated $80 avg. per meal, $50/day for park, plus whatever you want to spend on souvenirs. So $2900 plus souvenirs. That would be your high estimate. Ways to save - 1) Eat breakfast in your room - cereal, breakfast bars, pop tarts, far less...

Pin Codes through a travel agent?

Just called Disney Reservations to ask a few questions and the CM informed me that I had a free QS dining Pin Code. I'm booked through a travel agent. Can I still use my Pin Code, or do I have to book through Disney Reservations? Thanks, Indy

    How Bad is July really?

I replied earlier, but thought of a few tips. 1) Plan out your trip. It can be as intricate and exact as you want it, or it could just be blocks of time for x amount of rides. If you're pretty familiar with the parks and know what you want to do it should be easy to get stuff done, eat...

    DxDP App Question

I get the tipping issue. Good point. I'm budgeting for an average tip of $15-$18 (3 top, one kid, $90 average bill pre-tax at 18%). As for wasting food - not a problem if I'm at the table, hence the "worried about not fitting in my shorts on the way home". Cheers, Indy

Thoughts on/Accuracy of Undercover Tourist Droid App

So in prepping for our July trip, I've been looking into apps for wait times and such and came across the Underground Tourist app for my Droid. Seems cool, especially since the upgrade. My only concern is in the wait time data itself. Has anyone used this app (I'm sure) and how accurate have...
