perhaps, but it has nothing to do with my point.

Temper, Temper there Jimbo, sounds like you’re going to pop a blood vessel. IT SEEMS TO ME THERE HAVE BEEN AS MANY ‘FOR’ AS ‘AGAINST’ IN THIS THREAD. You can count if you really need to know… 1. Huh? 2. Wrong, Hard Tickets prove that they can handle the extra spins, because they are in...

:brick: So much for Debate Over... It's too bad you need to resort to petty insults to those who disagree with you (or those who don’t gobble up your drivel). You said it would be “horrible” if MK got another E-Ticket because you would have to wait on line longer. Some Disney Fan you are...

Agreed, this is my point. Epcot has walk ons, because those rides don't attract that well. If the went thru the transitions like HM is, and not like 3 Cabs or Imagination, they would'nt be walk ons any longer. I gaurentee Matterhorn or bullet train would have had plenty of wait time.

So right! The APer's are always convincing other to go to Disney, comission free. Factor that into the equasion and you really get a benifit...

    It's the Tourists...

No kidding, I'm very surprised at the mind set of "MK is good enough." I visit there 3 or 4 times a year, I visit AK and Epcot close to 30 each and MGM about 10. MK is very stagnate. Any other park on the planet with negative E-Ticket growth in 15 years would be blasted by the vocals on this...

    It's the Tourists...

Looks like you're up to 9 nights (or more) already this year, that's nearly double the visitor's 5 or 6 night vacation.

    It's the Tourists...

Several flaws in your theory: 1- Disney does not get the $250 in airfare. 2- an AP is about $350 before you walk thru the gate. 2- If you're logic were true, DL would not be making any money, especially considering how much they rely on APs and they have nearly twice as many attractions per...

That's what they said about Everest, and it jolted the attendence at all the parks to the tune of 1,000,000 guests easy (probably 2 or 3). $20 bucks each and you've already got your R.O.I. in less than a year. Regardless, there should have been an E-Ticket replacement, and DL seems to be able...

    It's the Tourists...

Unfortunatly Disney doesn't have the luxury of chosing this. 1-time visitors don't show up in sufficient quantities, they cost a lot in marketing to get them to show up, they even get discount dining plans the AP's don't (unless staying on property) just to try to get them to come. So if you...

    It's the Tourists...

Imagine if Fire Mountain or Villian Mountain or a new 20,000 Leagues or any of your favorite rumors were to come to life at MK next week. How great that would feel! You would really feel horrible if MK got a new E-Ticket? Whew...

The park did not have such problems when 20K was open, so adding an E-Ticket to replace the one deleted would not create such a problem, plus it would gobble up some of that crowd on the holidays better than not. They close the MK on occasion on these days you mention, so parking is...

    It's the Tourists...

No where near what I've been saying. They didn't stop improving DL while DCA was built and even now, DCA is getting 1.2 billion and DL is planning another E-Ticket for TL. They seem to know how to do both, WDW does not. There no reason MK should go 15 years without a single new E-Ticket...

    It's the Tourists...

I was really trying to use DL as an exampe not a competative adversary. Tokyo might have been a better example of the quality=growth message I was proposing. They even get 4 hr lines for Pooh... Pleasure debating with you, it does sharpen the mind...

    It's the Tourists...

It's really all about how great it would be to see a growth surge at WDW, like DL has expereinced. It's not about the cash in Disney's pockets. Think how you felt the first time you walked into AK or rode Splash Mountain. The folks are waiting 4 hours to ride the subs at DL right now...

    It's the Tourists...

You make my point for me. Don't you think a strong shot of TLC and several new E-Tickets would give a bump to WDW's attendence? Plus DL did all of that on the backs of mostly APs. Also, DL's attendence is lowered by several factors, It closes due to capacity far more often than MK, and it...

    It's the Tourists...

There are plenty of times when tourism has weakened, 9-11, the gas crisis back in the 70s and others. Each of those times WDW turned to locals. You still keep missing a simple point (so I guess I'm sounding like the broken record now, but) WDW at large and the MK specifically, could benitit...

    It's the Tourists...

This post shocks me the most. There is no way Disney doesn't want greather attendance at the MK. They have even found ways to add days to the year with P&P, MNSSHP and MVMCP events where they get to spin the turnstiles a second time each of those days. If your logic were true, they would...

    It's the Tourists...

I never said anything about bankruptcy. But, a point comes to mind... The weak dollar has caused a gigantic surge in overseas visitors, who many of which are 1-timers, so of all the parks, WDW is most at risk for a decline in attendance. I never said anything about declining attendance...
