WOW - What a week at WDW

What’s clear re: Gaston’s is you’re good to go in the morning. That’s what we knew on our recent trip, along with an understanding that later in the day would be less reliable.

    Lightning Lane Premier Pass

As a Canadian, it’s interesting to read about what I assume is an American experience re: school considerations. My oldest will be in high school at the estimated time of our next WDW vacation, and all I did was check the school calendar to ensure we can avoid exam weeks. We would still...

    Trip Report Holiday Trip #3!

No highlights from Universal? Or are those not allowed? Nice report!

Nintendo partnering with Universal to make attractions.

Definitely disappointing to learn that Donkey Kong is so short. Still excited to visit Nintendo Land. Hagrid’s is an incredibly well-themed and delightful coaster. At WDW, the only attraction I can think of that matches this level would be Flight of Passage. If anything at Epic matches...

WOW - What a week at WDW

    🍿 What a ridiculous thread.

    Lightning Lane Premier Pass

We took our kids out for two weeks, no qualms. They’re both good students and will take a few days to catch up. I think crowds are just spreading out more because people chase the “low” and avoid the “high”.

    Lightning Lane Premier Pass

It’s better than Peter Pan’s Flight, which has similarly silly wait times.

I’ve ridden Hagrid’s a bunch; which part is the “spike”? Not familiar with the term.

Brisket platter at the Roaring Fork (Wilderness Lodge) with ridiculously good mashed potatoes.

DHS Future of the Hollywood Tower of Terror

That is cool - but you are right in my case; I had no idea there were any Easter eggs, although I appreciated the detailed theming.

DHS Future of the Hollywood Tower of Terror

Tried this ride for the first time on our recent trip. Very cool theming and an exciting experience. I remember watching a handful of Twilight Zone episodes growing up. Took my son along for my second ride, and he thought the theming was generally cool but has zero idea about the Twilight...

WOW - What a week at WDW

We had a Lightning Lane for Big Thunder and the ride went down so we automatically got a multi-experience pass good for many other rides, in addition to being able to book another Lightning Lane. So you should have gotten 4 Lightning Lanes out of that equation, which by the way you would have...

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

There were none at the start, but some availability dropped.

MK Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

Not really - very easy to edit that out.

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

We easily grabbed a Tiana’s lightning lane on the day of, after starting our day at Animal Kingdom.

Walt Disney World Holiday Season 2024

We aren’t parade people. We enjoyed walking by it along the river, and paused to snap a pic. That was plenty. We got snow a few times! That was fun. :)

Walt Disney World Holiday Season 2024

Anecdotal: we attended our first ever Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on Thursday. One thing that surprised me was that the “free” cookies were legit good. And the hot cocoa was decent. The fireworks were awesome, with a jaw-dropping finale. Caught part of the parade in passing. Rode...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Ridiculous price but I’m assuming it’s only for that Xmas/NY week. We were first at the rope one day this week, and Mine Train was down. Even with the disappointment of missing that zero-line experience, there was no way we’d shell out for the Lightning Lane.

MK Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

I’d like to try riding during the fireworks but my family wants to focus on the show. Tonight I agree with them, since it is MVMCP.

MK Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

So glad the ride is still open for our current trip. First time riding it in the dark — so much fun! Hoping they somehow tone down the noise of the lift tunnels with this refurb. We plug our ears.
