News Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterates his belief that park reservations are now an essential part of Disney's theme parks business

Virtual theme parks are indeed likely, 20-30 years from now. Everyone is thinking way too short term with virtual reality. I'm still wondering why you thought it was appropriate to suggest NJ shore town residents deserve another Sandy. Not really going to listen to a word of your nonsense after...

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterates his belief that park reservations are now an essential part of Disney's theme parks business

I've seen you say this multiple times. You're right until you aren't. And there's going to be an aren't, not if but when.

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterates his belief that park reservations are now an essential part of Disney's theme parks business

Definitely. I think the ultimate future of the parks will be determined by who is selected to follow Chapek and if that person has his same terrible leadership.

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterates his belief that park reservations are now an essential part of Disney's theme parks business

I agree with this as well. But imo, 10-15 years or so Disney is going to have a big problem. The wave of discontent is slow moving but it's building. I look at my own social circle of friends, family, colleagues and almost no one is interested in a Disney vacation for their young children. They...

Hurricane Ian expected to impact Florida (updates and related discussions)

I've see way worse flooding in NJ in the past 11 years. Just last summer it was worse for many, my friend almost drowned in his car during the very heavy rain storms we got. I know three different people who lost their entire first floors, cars and basements during those storms last summer...

News Disney Explores Amazon Prime-Like Membership Program to Offer Discounts and Perks

It would have to have some great perks for attendees at the parks for me to even consider. I don't need discounts on anything else Disney related. I'm not holding my breath.

    Dinosaur has seen better days

I'm sorry but what's the premise of son of flubber? that the green substance has a child? I'm so confused. The Robin Williams Flubber wasn't great but immediately better because of Robin.

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek suggests price hikes are coming to the parks thanks to guest demand

Purely ancedotal, but I have a coworker who's daughter just started last week (two weeks ago?). She's thrilled to be there. They have her at Disney Springs, for now.

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek suggests price hikes are coming to the parks thanks to guest demand

The teen hangout stuff can be fixed a la Knott's new policy. Although I have to admit I wish my parents had me on a loose enough leash to send me to Six Flags alone for the day as an under 18 year old 😂. I guess my point is the perception of discount amusement park is so embedded in the Six...

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek suggests price hikes are coming to the parks thanks to guest demand

Which is dumb. Six Flags is not on the radar of the affluent. That ship sailed long ago. It's bare bones carnival style entertainment for the masses. (And I love a good roller coaster so it's not a knock from me, just stating the obvious).

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek suggests price hikes are coming to the parks thanks to guest demand

It's what we are doing. Very excited to go back to Universal for the first time since 2006 (!!). And If it meets our expectations, it'll likely be where we primarily vacation in Orlando. The vibe already suits my husband better than Disney did anyway. And I cannot wait for Epic Universe. Disney...

Rumor Dropping the "Walt" from "Walt Disney World"

I think we are approaching the time when Walt will not be a household name. My guess is within 20 years the Walt will be dropped from all Disney products. Ask a kid who Walt Disney was, they'll have no clue unless an adult explained it to them. There is a paradigm shift happening amongst kids...

News Another Fight at Magic Kingdom

Also, I'm just gonna say, there's a reason YouTube and etc. are filled with videos titled things like: 1. Fight breaks out at theme park!! 2. Fight breaks out at Walmart Black Friday!! 3. Passenger goes beserk on airplane!! And NOT filled with titles like: 1. Fight breaks out at exclusive Spa...

News Another Fight at Magic Kingdom

Yes, it did. It's arguing that those of us attempting to explain why this may be happening are blaming Disney for it happening, aka justifying it by saying it's Disney's fault for being a crowded rip off. I'm saying that's not mine or @flynnibus point.

Exactly my point as well. We're having a discussion on why this may be happening more, or why this is happening now. Not whether it should be happening (we all know it shouldn't be).

News Another Fight at Magic Kingdom

I look at it holistically - It's not just the increasing cost, or the crowds, or the heat. It's all of that put together. I think especially now given how complex a visit is with genie plus and lightning lanes and magic bands and special after hours events...people are more stressed to make the...

News Another Fight at Magic Kingdom

I agree with you here. Not so much that it excuses bad behavior, because it doesn't, but it can help explain it. Premium prices for an increasingly diminished service, massive crowds, visits that are becoming more and more complicated... add in oppressive heat and some booze and it's a wonder...
