    Disney Tattoos?

I don't have any, and no current plans for one, but I can say that the only thing I've ever even considered is something EPCOT / Disney related .... (along the lines of the EPCOT park symbol posted in #19, 20 and 24 here ...)

    First solo trip

Juliaz3 - I'm pretty sure that the California Grill in the Contemporary will be closed for refurbishment while you will be there, but that does not mean you can't fulfill your wish for a great dinner in the Contemporary, as The Wave is a good alternative. (Yep - confirmed - "Under...

    First solo trip

I just returned from a solo trip - the most recent of many that I've really enjoyed - and can give you a couple of tips. Treat yourself to some nice meals - (I strongly recommend Jiko for a fun experience, Citricos for great food and a great reason to go listen to the Grand Floridian Society...

What is the funniest thing you overheard another guest say in WDW?

Last week in the FastPass queue for Kilimanjaro Safari - very hyper and energetic little kid (estimating 5-6 years old maximum) jumping around, swinging from railings, etc., says to no-one in particular (but loudly) .... "Down with the Man, man! The system is broke!!" [sic]

Please Help Ruin My Friends’s Disney World Vacation

Voted to send him to Ellen's Energy Adventure (just because it's so long ..), to meet with Pinocchio, and to enjoy that Bag o' Crabs :p

Bistro construction in Epcot must be slipping behind

Did they really just cancel the ADR without offering you an alternative? That would seem rather un-magical! How did they let you know? I would think they would make a real effort to accommodate you in some other way to make up for the inconvenience of losing your original reservation ...

    Splash Mountain falling apart (literally?)

I was on Splash last week for the first time in a year - it was in a sad state for sure, but at least I made it on for one ride (which I still managed to really enjoy). It was down every other time I went by there for the rest of my visit. Unfortunately, Big Thunder and HM were down on-and-off...

    Here come the mermaids

I rode several times last week, and I have to say that I like the addition. All-in-all, Pirates was looking excellent. The 'mermaid effect' alongside the boat was quick and not super-impressive, but still a 'plus'. I thought that the skeletons on the beach scene looked great. I did not think...

    AK nets...?

The nets were certainly there all of last week - and the installation makes it seem like they are intended to be there long-term. While I agree that they don't seem like they would stop something giant from crashing down on guests, they do look quite sturdy, and I think it would take a great...

Joe Rhode in Animal Kingdom now...

OK - I'm back from my great trip - I had no idea that this quick post would get so much of a response. First, sorry for misspelling his name - I was dictating to my mobile device in the park right after having seen him - I did not catch the error. Yes, he was wearing the giant earring bundle -...

If you could choose only one restaurant to visit while at WDW, what would it be and why?

California Grill!! Choosing just one would be torture for me, but it would be easy to select Cali. Grill, as was suggested by a few others here. Why? #1, the food is consistently excellent. But the real reason that I selected this as the "choose only one" selection is the overall experience...

    Sshh.We are trying to eat.!

In addition to those already mentioned, Bistro de Paris can be reasonably quiet - we'll soon see how the changes to the layout / decor may effect that ... (I think it's still schedule to reopen in December ...)

    Boma Breakfast

Quite simply, yes - it is worth it - a really excellent breakfast. Because it is such a large and diverse buffet it is difficult to describe a 'menu', but some of the offerings are identified here...

    Is That It?

The portions at Victoria & Albert's are very, very small - fortunately, there are so many courses (at least six, and usually an amuse and a few surprises thrown in), and they are so, so good, you'll still leave very satisfied. Still, I think some folks having their first experience there get...

Is There Such A Thing As Healthy Eating At WDW?

You already mentioned / tried one of the best bets for healthy options - California Grill - stlbobby is also right-on about the Wave. In addition to those, Boma and Jiko both have a lot of healthy (and excellent) options. You can check a sample menu on this site...
