News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner

You won't see any stops at the Star wars hotel as that's a boutique resort for only 2-3 night themed stays. I don't believe there will be any bus service for parks to it either. It is a destination all too itself, unless Disney changes that design.

EPCOT Beauty and the Beast sing-along coming to Epcot's France Pavilion

I have to say that I think @HauntedMansionFLA is correct. If you have to listen to that "Sing-A-Long" more than once, it's really more "Song-A-Long". :hilarious:

EPCOT Is the End of Innoventions Near?

I applaud West's removal and I am not forgetting the mirror. Whils my OCD side appreciates the balance, I hate the mirror approach as the 2 together produce weird airflow or often, no airflow and you essentially have a dutch oven in the center. (I'll refrain from tarp discussion and only say it...

EPCOT New Park Entrance coming to Epcot

They might as well. We all pay admission and they are separate parks. Of course, if they do, Park hopper would now apply and we could save a few bucks on package deals. Unless you are only hitting a water park, then the seasonal $110+ per day would take effect and we'd all be... well... keeping...

    News Roger E. Broggie overhaul

Need to take up a fund to pay for regular "infiltration tours of espionage" so you can keep those photos coming over the next few years! ;-)

News Tower of Terror to operate at reduced capacity due to an extended refurbishment

I wonder what mechanical updates they could make that can be tested with live souls before they finish it. With the videos posted of the SkyLiner bouncing like crazy, I'm assuming they are upgrading ToT as it now has some competition?

    Ticketing/Entry System Crash

You are correct. Technically, their system should be running in a private cloud so if a computer (real or virtual) fails, another is in place to take over. This solution also handles load balancing during busy times. Now if someone "updated" production software with bad code, that is software...

    Ticketing/Entry System Crash

As an IT Professional, the scary thing about all these poste is not only the truth behind them, but the fact that the complete failure of executives and upper management to make deployments bullet proof due to their ignorance. I'm old school when it comes to IT, NOT old technology, but more so...

    News Construction at Typhoon Lagoon?

I noticed the beginning of that when I was there in June. At the time, they simply had some of the landscaping torn up and localized water falls (the little creeks in the landscape) shut off. It looked like something was about to begin. Curious what they could be doing/adding.

    Next Gen Busses

And I would have thought that McDonald's had the rights to that and pulled them from Dis when they left the parks & Downtown. Nothing smells "better" than a bus that smells like McD's! :depressed: The french fries, ok, but not McD's.) Though I have friends in Austin TX who have converted older...

    Rumor New Monorails Coming Soon?

The Vegas system is pretty nice with the numerous times I've used in when in town it was reliable. The automation seemed to be well tuned. The only ("only") catch, is the cost. Now many people site the full cost per mile which is stupid as that includes some very large and expensive stations...

EPCOT Space 220 Restaurant dining experience at Epcot's Future World

As the Reef's tank has slowly mirrored the real worlds dying reefs and the fish have contined to dissapear, I'm sure the average dining time of families has reduced. Which is too bad from an experince level as it was once an amazing place. I'm sure Dis will do something similar in space for...

EPCOT Spaceship Earth Refurb - 2 Year Closure

Well, there is always the under/never used Gravity Falls. At this stage it would make sense to put all kinds of weird hokey props in SSE and just have Gruncle Stan narrate it. Personally, I think the Six Pack-A-Lope and Questiony the Question Mark would add some interesting spins to the ride.

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

Is it just me, or does it seem like a wasted opportunity by not having the speedway pass under part of the canopy and track. At Disneyland, they have (had) a bunch of things all intertwined, which did get a little busy. However, this could have been really awesome, especially at night or if they...

    News Tomorrowland love

If they want to attract the younger crowd, then I think the TRON styled Tomorrowland would be a great solution leveraging the Tron coaster as a center piece. Or should I say, an Argon city style would work. But I can't imagine they want to spend that kind of money to rejuvenate it. It could be...

News UP! A Great Bird Adventure Getting A Rewrite

I enjoyed the original show. No interest in seeing the Up! version. Contrary to popular belief (in Disney corporate), not everything needs IP. Everytime I saw the original, it was packed, and that's in the off season. Small tweaks to keep shows fresh I'm ok with, but unless a show is old and...

EPCOT Future World Skyline BEFORE ugly Guardians Building

Personally, When TT 2.0 was TT 1.0, the exterior was industrial without being a boring square off white warehouse. It made sense then. Now, it doesn't make sense and I agree it needs a change. However, you can see over it and it doesn't fill the skyline completely. Is it ideal, NO. Is it far...

EPCOT Future World Skyline BEFORE ugly Guardians Building

Ah the good old days, when park style and beauty was at the forefront. Now, I would rather have seen a stylish hotel across the ticket booths & mono station than that guardians building. Maybe they should have combined them into the GotG Hotel. I mean, the new skyline is already an eye sore.

EPCOT New Park Entrance coming to Epcot

Heck with the one side wide open, they could now easilly take their time on the other after removal and complete all the work. We all know how the tombstones hindered crowd access, so being able to now re-route between sides would be a dream. Only time will tell. Haven't seen enough info to...
