    Follow my trip on Twitter!

My first ever solo trip starts this Monday! :sohappy: In a previous post, I asked for tips on traveling solo. Since then I had a great idea...why not create a Twitter account just for my trip? And that way everyone, even friends and family who don't use Twitter, could follow my trip through...

Has anyone ever tried to recreate a WDW recipe?

I've also made this recipe but as I never had the original, I had no means of comparison. I just decided to make the recipe because I REALLY love scalloped potatoes haha! I've also made the cornbread from Whispering Canyon Cafe and the Tie-Dye Cheesecake from Pop Century! Both turned out pretty...

    Fall TV!..:)

I've never tried Dexter but I do like Weeds. Though this past season wasn't one of my favorites. I miss Nancy in suburbia. Is anyone going to watch Flash Forward? (I think it premieres next Thursday) I'm a big Lost fan so I think I've got to give it a chance, even if it ends up being a little...

    Dessert/Wishes Party

I'm also hoping to see it extended as we would love to do it in January. And I have a friend who is hoping to attend one in March. A friend of a friend went last month and RAVED about it. Her daughter is a pastry chef and even she was very impressed with the desserts! The photos alone convinced...

Here's the photo of the fried wontons that Goreesha posted over in the Food Picture of the Day thread (found here: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=313931&page=72) I'm a serious fan of these, as you can tell! haha I'm even making an ADR at Yak and Yeti for my brief solo trip next...

Tea and Dessert~ where's your favorite place to go?

Best table service dessert at wdw is the fried wontons at Yak and Yeti....I was just raving about them in the food photo thread! :slurp: Fried wontons filled with sweet cream cheese, with pineapple and strawberries, vanilla ice cream and drizzled with honey-vanilla sauce.....simply amazing...

WDW Food Picture of the Day

I had these (and the steak and shrimp) last October and holy cow...I swear it is the best dessert I've had in my LIFE. I am trying to figure out how to re-create it! I wasn't planning on booking any ADRs for my mini solo trip but I may book the Yak and Yeti but only order this dessert! It is...

Can't be bothered with reality tv....I watch tv to ESCAPE reality! Already watching Mad Men! :sohappy: And Weeds just finished up not too long...

    Recommendations for Table Service Dining

Another Cape May Cafe fan here. Even if you don't love seafood, there is a lot of variety at the clam bake. Not usually a fan of buffets but this is different. And the desserts are pretty awesome! Also really loved Yak and Yeti....best dessert I've had in my life (can you tell I'm a dessert...

Thank you so much for all of the great responses! Some great ideas and a lot of encouragement. I am going to take the plunge and try it out! I have been debating some tours. Second doubts about solo trip!

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that! :( I do appreciate the honesty, though. I haven't booked my plane ticket yet, as I'm still debating. I will get to spend some time with my friend, as I mentioned, but at least half of the time I will be by myself. He doesn't go to WDW as much as I do but I know he...

    Second doubts about solo trip!

Oh that's great! I'll be there right after you, I think! I did think of single rider lines as a major benefit. And actually, yesterday I invited a friend along. Immediately after I did, I sort of regretted doing so. She's never been and I was worried I would get the "this looks lame" and "I...

    Second doubts about solo trip!

So next month, I am booked to go on what will basically be a solo trip. A friend will be down at WDW for a conference while Better Than Ezra (our favorite band!) will be playing at the Food and Wine Festival. It seemed like such great timing and I told him I would come down to see the concerts...
