    Cape May Cafe Info!

My family loves the dinner clambake. Not sure I understand the complaints about it being a "free for all." I mean, it IS a buffet, what exactly do you expect? Is it Disney's fanciest dining experience? No. But we go because we love seafood in a laid back atmosphere. My mom doesn't eat seafood...

WDW Food Picture of the Day

The crunch chicken is very easy to make at home. And I kind of can't quit laughing at how everything in Planet Hollywood, judging from that photo as I don't go there, is plastered with photos of people modeling their merchandise....

WDW Food Picture of the Day

Sweets Napoleon from Starring Rolls (Amazing but way, way too big!) Cinnamon Roll from Starring Rolls Pineapple Dole Whip photo-op! My birthday treat at Cape May Cafe clam bake (Some sort of chocolately cream on the inside?)

WDW Food Picture of the Day

Veggies at Teppan Edo (before my chicken and shrimp finished. didn't get a photo of that because I was too darn hungry.) Kid's Sweet and Sour Chicken from Sunshine Seasons. This is a great option for an adult who isn't on the Dining Plan and looking to cut back on portions. And it included a...

WDW Food Picture of the Day

Sandwiches Club sandwich (no tomato!) with chips from the Plaza Earl's Club (again, no tomato!) from Earl of Sandwich (I would marry this sandwich if I could) some sort of turkey sandwich from Norway bakery (never happy when I get surprise mayo but this was still pretty good.)

Kinda bummed about the DTD McD's that's closing

Vacation is a great time for kids to try some new foods. I've never been able to understand why people order food on vacation that they can and so frequently do eat when they are at home. I was a very picky eater (still am in some ways) until my early 20s. I blame a lot of that on my parents not...

Is it too early for a January 2010 roll call?

I'll be there on the 8th (leaving tomorrow) and it just happens to be my birthday! I'll be celebrating with breakfast at the Kona cafe, with a mimosa in hand!

What Should I Wear Next Week?

I'll be down there next week too, leaving tomorrow! Just got done packing, tried to keep a variety. Lots of capri pants, no shorts, a few pairs of pants. Several hoodie sweatshirts and a light cardigan sweater. Several t-shirts and a couple long sleeve tees. Also packed flipflops because with...

    Rare Items?

If you log into your e-bay account, there's a way to search for only the ended auctions. That way you can see what similar previous items have gone for in the past. I've used this before for non-Disney items to get a starting price. Good luck!

Do Disney Dining Plans actually save you money?

I just wanna 2nd everything this poster said. My family falls into the "we would never usually spend this much money on food" category, though. And if you wouldn't usually eat that many sitdown meals or order the most expensive items, you'll also be paying more in tips than you usually would. We...

    To all Disney travel Experts!!!

Whoops, by the time I skimmed through the other comments I forgot that part! I was reading the comments suggesting tours and got distracted! I've been a little spaced out this evening :o Sorry, yes, I believe you have to be at least 16 if not 18. My apologies, that's what I get for skimming posts!

    Best Acting Performance in FW

Yeah, I was a little baffled that she was left off the list...considering her name is in the title... But other than Ellen, Eric Idle gets my vote if only due to his involvement with Monty Python. He makes the attraction tolerable for me. Bill Nye is also great. And the guy who played Wayne...

Todays review of Liberty and pecos

Sorry to hear of your bad experience at LTT but we had a similar experience in Oct 08. Very bland, frozen food. Maybe we're just spoiled by my mother's excellent chestnut stuffing but it was just barely edible to us. And we really aren't very picky eaters. Most of it came out barely...

    To all Disney travel Experts!!!

Since everyone else is mentioning tours, I will throw in my endorsement for the Epcot Segway tour. It was absolutely amazing, so much fun. I would do it again in a heartbeat. But we'll be doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour next month and it has come highly recommended by many. Good luck!

Ate at Yak and Yeti tonight

I will chime in and say that I've ordered the steak/shrimp. It's skirt steak, which I believe is meant to be a little pink, otherwise it will get very chewy/tough. The one time I had it, I would describe it as "medium-well" and I don't recall being asked how I would like it (which tells me there...

    New Attraction-Specific Merchandise--Maelstrom T-Shirt

$25 really isn't much for a t-shirt anymore (at least one with any sort of design on it.) I would say $20 is the low end and $30 is the high end....where in WDW can you find a t-shirt for less than $19.99? Not sure they exist...depending on the design, I'll almost always pay $20, sometimes I'll...

    Favorite WDW Smell

Bath and Body Works sells a candle, Spiced Cider, that is very similar to this. It's my favorite too!
