    Arcade after Star Tours

I may be the only person who thinks this (based on how few people I see in the arcade, I probably am!), but I actually really like the arcade. It's not that expensive and it's a fun diversion. I acknowledge it's thematically broken, though I'm not sure a gift shop is any better...

    Marvel coming to WDW?!?!

I can't see this happening in a hurry at DHS. With the dearth of attractions there, closing the park's icon attraction for several months while the transition is completed would hurt visitor numbers too much. But just for the sake of devilry... Apart from the fact many people have little to no...

Surge Pricing Holding Up (Semi) Annual Increase ...

I think the only winners from this (to the extent that there would be any) would be Annual Passholders. Those who have no choice but to visit during peak days would pay an unprecedented surplus. Those who liked visiting on lower crowd level days will not pay more, but will likely have the low...

    Late October at DLP

An offbeat dining suggestion would be Manhattan Restaurant in the New York Hotel. The price to food quality ratio there is the best of all the upscale restaurants I've dined at in DLP (i.e. most of them!) - definitely a"food first" sort of place and I never see it mentioned. Arguably somewhere...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

A few observations from a recent 5 day trip. Negative: Unconvinced on the replaced sign above the launch track on RnRC... the one designed to look like a freeway message board sign. Or more accurately, the one formerly designed to look like a freeway message board sign but now looks like a...

International Gateway Entrance for Pre-Opening Tour Reservation?

Fantastic. Thanks for the reply! :)

International Gateway Entrance for Pre-Opening Tour Reservation?

Hi folks, I've got a reservation for an Epcot tour (Undiscovered Future World!) at 9AM, and it looks like I need to arrive 15 minutes in advance to check in at guest relations - so 8:45AM! Epcot opens at 9AM on that day, so my question is, is the International Gateway entrance set up to...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

I have to say I've really settled in to enjoying MM+. This is more due to a change in my touring style, not a change in the system. If I were a short-length vacationer trying to do as many attractions as possible, there is no disputing that the system sucks. But that's not how I tour the parks...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

During the course of my daily eavesdropping, I get the impression that almost all UK "holiday" visitors are not at all regular, possibly even never visited before. I heard a few people in WDS commenting on the Tower of Terror being "the one from Florida" (boy, would they be in for a...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

One thing I think I underestimated in attendance factors is the various currency exchange rates. I'm half way through a visit to DLP (the place is looking better every time I visit - a great trend...) And there is a marked increase in UK visitors as compared with last summer. I wonder if the...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

I guess if they wanted to shut Uber out, they would have to get an injunction banning them from the whole property (since it's not clear otherwise how they'd enforce who guests could make arrangements with to collect them from hotels). And of course, by doing that, they might discourage people...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

I sort of abandoned this topic earlier in this thread as I didn't want to detail things but since the train has come to the tracks... I'm not going to argue there aren't serious disadvantages to MM+. But there are advantages too. It's great to be able to go to WDW in the evening on the first...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

Perhaps... But it is odd that they're still selling it as a fixed unit. Rather than getting the Magic Your Way plan, the options are 2, 7+PH, 14+PH, 21+PH. The 2-day option never used to be there. If you choose 1 day, or 3 days or 4 days, you're offered the 2 day no-hop plan. If Disney have...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

I saw this ad (targeting the UK market) which I was slightly taken aback by: (The previous slides said "Visiting Orlando? Why not add a little magic by visiting Disney..." or something to that effect). This is the marketing strategy you would have expected of Universal... hoping for a couple...

Though I think we can all agree that a 5th park will happen sooner than the parks being fully themed and cohesive environments...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

It's bizarre to think that if you take the time gap between AK opening and now (17 years), and go back that same length of time starting from the date of AK's opening, you end up at February 8th, 1981 - when WDW was just a single theme park resort and River Country was the only water park.

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

That has to be a Photoshop job. There's no way they'd have a classic picture of Walt Disney on the wall. Nobody would be that crass and tasteless... Especially in the park that hosted One Man's Dream. Nope, I refuse to believe this photograph exists.

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

This assumes you don't know earlier in the day that you'll visit, or that you don't book FP+'s on the offchance of a visit (which I'm sure many people must do). I don't say this is a huge problem - probably mostly because WDW is not a locals' park - but there's no denying there's a huge...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

So it's not biased that locals can book speculative FP+'s just on the offchance that they might happen to visit? Or that locals who wander in at 7pm after work can get reservations on busy days for attractions that, previously, would have been sold out - and board immediately on entering the...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

This is an interesting point. I'm guessing here that, after the once in a lifetime guests (who as we all know are Disney's #1 demographic), are the "once in 10/20 years guests". And those subsequent visits are likely very profitable for Disney since those guests likely splurge one way or...
