Am I Alone... WDW Food is BAD

I know it may be blasphemous to say but I agree with you on Kona Cafe a bit. It's a bit like a standard, high end hotel lobby restaurant (which is really what it is). WDW should definitely tour the various brunch houses around the US which have grown in popularity and use those as a model for...

Am I Alone... WDW Food is BAD

You have to look at it holistically. Cali Grill is part of this giant conglomeration with a single supply chain and single cadre of chefs and practices. Your local higher end restaurant may be part of a restaurant group, but it's certainly smaller than WDW as a whole. It's as if all of WDW is...

Can I get food that is no longer on menu?

They may not have the specific meat but maybe they could prepare beef perhaps the same way? Worth asking.

Am I Alone... WDW Food is BAD

WDW is on such a scale that a visit to a small restaurant in a major city that specializes in just a few things will blow anything they have away. Imagine you are at the largest wedding or convention you have ever been to. That's how fast they turn out food and they do it well. Is it going to...

What happens if my son turns 3 at Disney?

I would focus on his interests, be they pirate, toy story, cars, classic characters, whatever. Focus on that, as you would at home party but instead of napkins and tablecloths with a particular character's design, you can do something interactive with those characters there!

What resort do you think you'll never stay at?

I enjoy the resources at the GF, namely some of the restaurants and shops, but there is absolutely zero appeal for me to stay there. It doesn't transport me anywhere. It reminds me of local golf/country clubs which in my neck of the woods are a dime a dozen.

    Best Extinct WDW Foods

Flavors at Boma when they were more bold. Seems to have gotten more muted over the years.

Could we get a Stranger Things attraction?

They should get on getting the rights and doing something regarding this. It's something that captures the imagination and appeals across a very wide age range. An "upside-down" dark ride, something that uses the Dinosaur/Indy system could be fun. This show is a cross between The Goonies and...

    Character Meals

Tusker House and Chef Mickey have the same characters primarily. You'll have to decide whether you want them in chef's outfits or safari outfits. I prefer the spicier nature of Tusker House to the standard fare of Chef Mickey's but you chose breakfast for that meal. They really can't screw up...

    CM Attacked at ToT

If she was responding to violence, then maybe warranted, but she was responding to not having a time to go on a ride?!?! Jeez!

    Positive Experiences with Guest Services?

Numerous experiences over many years, I won't go into each one of them. Regardless of whether I got instant resolution or not, the most important thing to me was that I was made to feel my opinion mattered and that it would be escalated at least to the next level of management.

Do you think you will ever enjoy Epcot again??

Epcot remains a marvel (no pun intended). It's problem is that the drive for innovation that built it has left the building. The last great attraction was Mission:Space and it has been some time since then. Things that are great and historic should be maintained. Things that are just meh...

Any foods NOT at WDW that you wish were offered somewhere on premises???

It's basically that Italian-German connection in Philly. Really a combination of cultures there.

    Toppings Bars?

These things just really help in ways unseen, namely getting food out quickly. If you look at the lines at places, even Pecos Bills which gets to be a mob scene at lunch, they just move a lot faster because of this. Less guesswork, questions and special orders, also more satisfied people.

Any foods NOT at WDW that you wish were offered somewhere on premises???

Bread is so hard to replicate. We really have the best in the Northeast US for these kinds of purposes. A lot of places, Disney included try to make European-style bread but the bread that was adapted in the Northeast US by immigrants of the early 20th century is unparalleled for sandwiches...
