News Disney H2O Glow After Hours Returns to Walt Disney World

I think it's good to be able to enter early just to get parking, find a locker and claim chairs for the night.

News MK Ferry boat crash last night, multiple injuries

SOMETIMES this is the case. Often they come about because people see Morgan and Morgan or Steinger, Greene and Feiner (is Iscoe with Jimmy Hoffa?) ads and when they get injured on the property of a big company they see dollar signs floating in their eyes.

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

That vehicle had to be left empty since the battery is on fire causing some kind of noxious blue smoke.

News Heat Advisory Issued for Walt Disney World Area Today, July 18

And it is filtered water. Absolutely no reason to buy bottled water at WDW although they don't exactly advertise that you can fill a cup with water for free.

News Heat Advisory Issued for Walt Disney World Area Today, July 18

Thousands of years ago humans knew that they needed to drink a lot of water when it was hot. It should be instinctive, especially when you are sweating and feeling all the water in your clothes that is coming out of your body.

News Heat Advisory Issued for Walt Disney World Area Today, July 18

Dry heat feels much cooler (especially in the shade) until it gets over 100, then it feels like an oven. It feels different than lower temps but high humidity (more of a sauna feel) and you don't realize how much you are sweating because it evaporates instead of soaking your clothes. Two days...

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

This just made me think. Has there ever been a direct lightning strike on an outdoor attraction at WDW? If so, what kind of damage was done?

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

They should have given PATF a new ride and if they needed to retheme SM done it without an IP maybe themed to the old West to fit with its next door neighbor.

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

Maybe inspired by the Chevy truck "like a rock" ad campaign?

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

They can add the attraction "test flight" using it. Imagine how much Disney could charge for a helicopter ride that takes off from within a park!

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

You are remembering correctly. I don't remember what they were for but I remember there were also some small queues towards the stages. Maybe they were for pictures?

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

The most reliable vehicle I've ever owned was a 2005 Chevy avalanche. I traded it in at the end of 2019 with over 220k miles on it. No major problems. In the last year it started leaking oil everywhere I parked and I made the stupid decision that it wasn't worth getting fixed. One of my few...

MK The Hall of Presidents closing for refurbishment on January 20, 2025 [Reopened June 29, 2025]

Back on topic, I think based on the pictures and videos that they did a pretty good job with the animatronic. None of them have ever been particularly great. I think the last time I actually went inside HoP was when Obama was President and I didn't really thing the animatronic looked very much...

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

I agree to an extent about safety but I think people care about the high tech safety systems now. The 1.0 ABS test was kind of outdated on opening. I think the majority of new cars had ABS at least within a couple of years of the opening (even though it wasn't mandatory until 2013).

It seemed like a good idea at the time!

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

What was outdated other than the cars shown testing in the pre-show video? The concept of you riding in a vehicle on a "test track" wasn't outdated and still isn't. Even Tesla, which is probably the most "cutting edge" car company tests their cars on a "test track" at a proving ground.

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

Thanks for the review. I expect I will agree when I ride it. I didn't think the anti-lock break segment made any sense in 2.0 and it certainly sounds like it makes no sense here. They should have made the "skidding" part into self driving avoiding obstacles or something. Is it THAT...

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

I think guard rails reaches the Pinnacle of design in the 1960s. I don't anticipate a force field replacing the current design anytime soon.

They always have been. There's never been a steering wheel as part of the ride vehicle theming.

If they do that hopefully they explain the curve at the end of part one that was supposed to simulate skidding (although it felt nothing like it) in TT 1.0.
