Haven't really read through much of this thread, but there seems to be a lot of conflicting info. I have been to MK 3 days a week for the last 12 weeks. I have seen unmanned testing, final construction details, wall removal, extremity clearance testing, engineer timing riding, cast member...

There are ongoing renovations planned for the Poly, but no DVC.

All wild rumor. No credible source confirming anything happening at the Polynesian as far as a DVC.

The best place is the Contemporary. The 4th Floor concourse sitting area at the North end of the tower is great, and the music is piped in. There is also an observation deck on the top floor to the south accessed by the stairs, but this is usually off limits, and once you go out there the doors...

Very cool about sir Paul. Celebs pop up there all the time. Jeff has been every year since 2009 with his little ones during speed weeks. This year it was 2 days after the Bud shootout and a week before the 500 and Daytona is just a hop skip jump away.

An interesting note to this thread is that there used to be a Tobacco shop on Main Street! There are several designated smoking areas in the parks. There are 10 in the Magic Kingdom. You can find them on the park map.
