What they were going for... Was adding a sprinkler system to the roof. (They also added them to the outdoor monorail stations, along with the new emergency exit stairs).
I agree it looks bad, and it also makes the show sound worse as all that fabric used to absorb sound realy nice. It's much...
Yeah... They added some low level pyro where they could... And the extra flames are at least something... But still. I already missed the original Star Wars fireworks shows but understood why the launch site had to change. But now... It's just sad. Ha.
They dropped all the major pyro supposedly because of so many brush fires being started.
The Star Wars show has no large shells in the show now, only comets and a very few small shells. They added more flames and low level pyro to the show but it is still dramatically lacking.
Since...
Sorry for asking again.... But any insiders know the status on being able to use the launch site for this show?
That show is going to be even weaker without big pyro...
I saw it at least twice last year... Wow I'm slipping! I would have put all my chips in on that bet! Ha.
Agreed... They are done subtly and with taste.
I wonder if they will skip holiday wishes this year actually... Save it for the Christmas party only? They have made such a big deal about...
Just looked it up on YouTube.... And yes there are some... Huh. They are pretty simple and of course the castle is low and I watched from back by Coke Corner.
Did they get added part way into the year?
Well... I was referring to "the launch site" that Jingle Bam used last year, which is the current launch site that apparently cannot be used for larger shells at the current time.
Since the old site no longer exists, I was not referencing that.
When on my personal last rides for energy and movie ride... I couldn't help but think how both attractions used lots of AA's, low fog, and running water effects.
Let's just hope they never build a big roller coaster there to block our train watching!!!! :-/
It's also along that path that the engines actually have to work up grade! On a busy 3-train operation day I can easily spend an hour or 2 along that path.
It's pretty standard practice to open the cylinders upon departure of fantasyland station.
Of course... It will only look like that on a cool day (hard sight to see this time of year!)
The first Halloween party I attended there was a ghostly steam boat ride with a live "ghost" telling a story and a live River boat band (the banjo brothers).
Any news on this? I Saw the show this week and it was very sad. The little high level pyro they did do might as well be cut at this point (all comets and a few small shells).
Wondering if Jingle Bam will be able to use the launch site?
Not just the engines. Their ever expanding fleet of wooden coaches are simply unreal.
They are also one of the few heritage railroads (Durango, Cumbres, Essex, and Cass are the others) that have made the commitment to only operate steam.
