Is it really that bad, and is it really that good?

The new HP construction area at Uni was very unobtrusive. If they can maintain that then all is good.

Is it really that bad, and is it really that good?

Gabe, read my posts. I was there last week. I gave proper kudos to Hogwarts. I never said I liked Beast's Castle, my daughter does. I only asked why you are comparing the two, and you explained. Even against Prince Eric's Castle, Hogwarts easily wins.

I would rather them have shirts on that aren't too vulgar over the shirtless teens roaming and running around Uni. The only time the staff got involved was when they were getting in line or on rides.

Is it really that bad, and is it really that good?

A couple of things that Uni (I just like calling them that after the unicorn from the old Dungeons & Dragons cartoon series:p) needs to look at are hours and access. The hours match well with Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, however EPCOT and Magic Kingdom hours go beyond Uni and IOA hours...

Is it really that bad, and is it really that good?

I just never thought of comparing those two structures based on their size. From a forced perspective view I see what you are saying, and Hogwarts either way is more impressive. Any argument of the size, the use, or the differences would lead back to what each company invested and built, so it...

Is it really that bad, and is it really that good?

As I mentioned, it has been about 8 years since we've been to Uni and IOA, with my DD having never visited, and my 13yo being about 5 the last time, so he was not able to ride many of the coasters. We liked the parks back then, although at that time my DW was able to hit all of the coasters...

Is it really that bad, and is it really that good?

Oh, I know. Hogwarts blew me away, inside and out (man it hurts when your insides blow up!:arghh:). I was also impressed with Eric's Castle, though, in the Disneyesque way. It is taken from a cartoon, and, to the chagrine of some, the architecture keeps that 'animated' look. My DD princess...

Why this comparison and not Prince Eric's Castle?

Is it really that bad, and is it really that good?

Some really great comments here, and of course they are all passionate. Keep it coming! Once quick comment from me before I'm back through the looking glass. Both parks do have things they do well, things that bring people back, and things that people hate or want improved. Sometimes its a...

Is it really that bad, and is it really that good?

In order to understand how some people feel about any theme park you need to know a little about them, who they go with, and what they like. So, I have been going to Disney, always with family, since at least 1978, maybe earlier if I have my dates wrong. We did not go consistantly, but we did...

Is it really that bad, and is it really that good?

After an improptu trip to Disney World Saturday (September 21) through early Tuesday (Sept. 24) with a trip to both Disney and Uni I have to wonder, at this point in the game, is Disney really that bad, and is Uni really that good as many here are making it out to be? I understand that Disney...

    Slow lines on Test Track

My DS (and I) like the design portion also. It is the only reason we would go through the standby line. So, with the merging of lines it looks like we can skip the standby portion. Disney needs to get those boards updated quicker, though, for the standby line.

    Slow lines on Test Track

The single rider line was open, however I do not remember what the wait was. With our 6 year old DD we always go together with a Fastpass or in standby. This was at least the 6th time we've run it on standby since 2.0 debuted and it was the first time it took over an hour. And we've been in...

    Slow lines on Test Track

We took an impromptu trip to WDW and Universal this past weekend after coming oh so close to getting on a Disney Cruise. EMH at night at Disney, first at MK, then DHS. Tuesday morning before heading back we went to EPCOT for a bit. Fastpasses at Soarin' were already for after 2pm when we...

    misery at DHS

I was at Hollywood Studios on Monday in the evening with EMH. We hit AIE, ST, the Muppets, Mermaid, drawing class, and then headed to RNR and ToT. Walked on Tower practically, but RNR was down. They did not have it up in the 30 minutes we were down that way, so we stood in a moderate (30...
