    Daily housekeeping?

True, but I'm guessing the housing problem near the parks paired with the unemployment and a non-$15/hour wage like a lot of the Universal jobs are paying may have more to do with this that the smaller percentage of people to which this applies.

    The Tipping Point For Change

No that was my fault, I misread, my apologies. And I've had that experience so I usually plan my park days with my dining for my ADR's so many are simply walkable or using other easier transportation. AK to GF is a HAUL! I'm also a planner who finds that a fun puzzle cause I clearly have a...

    Standby Pass at WDW?

Well I appreciate it! Do you think their is a system we can pair with the new paid FP model that might work better?

    Standby Pass at WDW?

W Well that's true, but if we only offer it on select attractions could it improve the crowd distribution we'll be losing with FP? I was always a believer that the old system made my waits worse on other attractions anyway, I see this as a way to actually improve the overall flow

    Standby Pass at WDW?

My understanding was that when the standby queues filled up you got times to come back in half hour slots allowing you to get on line then but not for front of the line access, so in essence I'd still have to wait the same amount of time as if I'd stood there but I don't have to till I'm at...

    Standby Pass at WDW?

I don't disagree necessarily, but I do that in long standby lines already for the most part and sometimes park hop to avoid them. But if I could enter a virtual queue for Test Track lets say and stand in a standby line for a few other things, eat lunch, and come back in a half hour window, I...

    The Tipping Point For Change

You're not wrong, I always make sure I leave a full hour before an ADR or that its walkable. And I loved DME, but without the luggage handling and check in which I wouldn't see ever coming back it was just really a bus the same as the Mears shuttle used to be. It was fun, but won't change my...

    Standby Pass at WDW?

Curious why not. I was actually thinking with overflow on lines like FoP moving to virtual when they hit a certain standby it might be possible to distribute to underutilized attractions in a better way than we do currently even with FP+.

    Standby Pass at WDW?

Any thoughts or rumors on Disneyland Paris's Standby Pass system being implemented along with the Premier Access system? Think it would make sense to launch these together as a set, but not sure how they would implement it in the current setup.

I also think you're asking the cord cutting pay-to-play generation if they mind some of these things......I'm not sure they do, its a different world out there and I am not young enough to really speak to it

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

It's because all their wait time estimates are either driving people to redistribute crowds and/or are based on historical waits at certain point with FP+ being active. It is why the times are longer, the lines seem bigger, yet we're waiting less and moving constantly

    The Tipping Point For Change

Hahah and see my kids hated DCL compared to their NCL experiences so we do that now instead...all about what they ask for again

    The Tipping Point For Change

What it used to deliver is also in the eye of the beholder, if we're talking about DME and mickey soap I believe those are semantic arguments. I believe many of the IP changes have been improvements over the 80s and provide even more connection to my family's experience at home. But I...

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

They are definitely keeping people on outside areas more than usual, but if you time the waits I think you'd be surprised how quick those lines are moving

    The Tipping Point For Change

I would agree that in the trip reports or talking to people who went there is much bigger segment who are having a great time than not. I also think we forget on the boards that we are the .5% of people who would even debate things like this. As far as value, I'd say there are many aspects of...

Which is really interesting because all the conservation and animal work they do is one of the reasons I go when I compare it to other zoo attractions.

    DINOSAUR merch removed

To I always thought we were going at the last minute to avoid your usual time travel paradox a la Back to the Future, so I never really focused on that part of the overall story. I haven't done Indy since the year it opened, so I don't remember enough to really comment on it.

    The Tipping Point For Change

My kids are around the same age with a younger thrown in, they still prefer Disney but I hear where you're coming from. Sounds like maybe I'm not the only one on here that thinks the paid/day-of FP would be better in many ways than what we had before.

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

Been down 4 times this year including beginning of July and don't see what some people are talking about with 'insane lines'. Posted wait times have been consistently longer than actual wait times without a doubt, but someone would have to prove to me with hard numbers that lines don't move...
