The themeing for Typhoon and Blizzard are phenomenal - but that's pretty much where the excitement stops. I go to the waterparks often, and nothing beats "fun in the sun" during a Florida summer, but Disney waterparks really don't offer anything "extra" beyond theming that the other waterparks...

My deep fear is that we may be reaching the end of the nightime parade. It costs an amazing amount of money to put on every night, and I would not put it past TDO to attempt to pull the plug on it to save money. If they don't want to put the money into refurbing floats - I HIGHLY doubt they...

The good news is that when Disney screws up - they do it royally. This will be a sink or swim scenario. Either NextGen costs Disney more than its worth, it doesn't bring in the cash they are projecting, or it is such an insfrustructure/technological nightmare that it backfires on them anyways...

I still think the billion dollar pricetag, and subsequent millions of dollars of maintenance is the real holdup. But we reach the same conclusion - ain't gonna happen.

The way they are throwing rumors our way, I am sure we will hear something about a possible StarWars attraction coming. We are getting close to as many rumored projects as the Disney Decade promised....

I agree. We are all being taken for a ride, if you ask me. As the days continue to pass - I grow less optimistic that Carsland, Avatar, or any of the other rumored projects will be happening. With a company that now looks to the next immediate quarter's profits to gauge their success - why...

And this is a problem, too. Disney seems to have a "wait and see" approach. Problem being that it takes Disney the longest to do anything. The excuse used to be because Disney did things the best. That's no longer the case. Universal and Sea World are showing that they can create just as great...

Is anyone else getting the feeling that Disney is trying to keep fan interest by dropping rumors like these - only for nothing to be announced or done? It's a sad state of affairs. You can only leak out so many rumors for so long before people switch from interested to frustrated...

Now if only they would actually do some things.... Hopefully, help is on the way.
