Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

I kind of hold all Disney attractions to the same standards, but I am more lenient on rides outside Disney Parks as I realize they don't have the enormous and extravagant budgets that Disney has, so it is easier to let some flaws slide.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

I think Rise is far and away the best that WDI has done (in terms of US attractions) since Indiana Jones Adventure. However, the decision to have the Sequel Trilogy characters in it over the Original Trilogy characters is going to badly age it as more and more people forget the sequels. That...

    Captain Eeyore

I haven't watched the entire thing yet, but I read the article and found it fascinating. In one of the bits I saw, I really found it funny when Eeyore said "Oh no, Commander Bob." Captain Eeyore was a prophet, and warned us about Chapek way back in the 80s.

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

Well, Chapek is now CEO so he has even more power, but D'Amaro is just a better actor than Chapek is so it makes it easier for him to trick people into thinking that he cares about the parks.

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

There has been a trend across the theme park industry of building more low capacity attractions over building high capacity ones. The RMC Raptors are great rides, but depending on the model, they only hold 8-12 people a train, which is a severe decrease from B&Ms that can hold 32 people a...

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

I know that people on once-in-a-lifetime trips will buy these, and I know I might have paid one time to skip the boarding pass hassle, especially back when it first opened and the only chance to ride it was to play the boarding group lottery at rope drop. However, these slots that would have...

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

The Dream Keys would look a lot better if they included Genie+.

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

If Disney can get away with selling access to Web Slingers as an upcharge, that will just encourage them to make more Midway Mania clones instead of actual good rides. And if Rise actually cost 50 dollars to access and "free" boarding groups become even harder to come by, then my days of...

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

This is going to be way too confusing for most guests. So you have to buy Genie+ for the day, and then buy individual fastpasses for in-demand attractions. Six Flags parks have a tier system for their paid fast passes and it makes way more sense and is way more straightforward.

News Disneyland modifies mask policy - UPDATE 7/28/21

It is odd that LA County is bringing back outdoor masks now as things are slowing down in California. This article gave me some hope that maybe the "return to normal" won't be that far away...

    All things Magic Mountain

It is kind of surprising that Magic Mountain didn't officially announce their 2021 coaster today since it is National Roller Coaster day. Plus, we basically know what it is at this point, so it won't be a surprise. It also sounds like Tatsu might be down for a long time, since there was...

    All things Knotts Berry Farm

I'm not sure what the regular ticket prices have been, since I always get the Scary Farm Pass. I thankfully got one as an addon to my 2020 Platinum Pass, but it sounds like there won't be any other way to get a Scary Farm Pass this year. With the park being so understaffed, I am wondering if...

    All things Knotts Berry Farm

I guess that explains why the Single Rider line hasn't been running lately. Even pre COVID, it would be closed on some days. I was looking at scheduled ride closures on Knott's site and it said that GhostRider is closed now. Does anyone know when it will be back up? I was hoping to get to...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

There have been maintenance issues with Splash Mountain for years now, and from what I understand, a lot of that has to do with California OSHA regulations preventing them from easily doing maintenance for things like lights, that should easily be able to be fixed. I don't know how much those...

    All things Knotts Berry Farm

Full Throttle usually has groupers, and Batman has them sometimes also. Ghostrider started after groupers sometime pre COVID, but I don't know if they are still there since I don't have the patience to wait in the 3 hour line to find out. They also didn't tend to have groupers on slower days...

News Disneyland modifies mask policy - UPDATE 7/28/21

I know there is no way to prove that the outbreak originated at Disneyland, but Disney doesn't want people spreading the news that Disneyland is a COVID hotspot since it would deter people from visiting. While Disney wants to make sure that the parks are well staffed enough to stay open, they...

News Disneyland modifies mask policy - UPDATE 7/28/21

With the news about this outbreak at Disneyland, it definitely makes sense why the US Disney Parks are the only US parks to require masks outside parks located in areas with local mandates. It is all about damage control and trying to prevent headlines about a COVID outbreak being linked to a...

    All things Knotts Berry Farm

Magic Mountain has also been understaffed and overcrowded since it has reopened. The difference is that Knott's had terrible ops on GhostRider pre COVID as well, so I have less hope of them ever getting better.

    All things Knotts Berry Farm

I was there yesterday and the GhostRider queue was out of the barn both when I got there around 6PM and closer to closing, and once again Single Rider was closed. Even when the park is about to close, if the queue fills out most of the lower level of the barn, the wait is about 60-90 minutes...

    Single Rider for Star Tours?

I think what slows them down so much is the cast members spend a lot of time looking for parties of two on Splash and the Matterhorn instead of taking from the Single Rider line. The Single Rider line on both those rides is ridiculously slow and it slows down dispatches when the cast members...
