    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

I think it is just very time consuming to build a super realistic park that isn't made up only of finished blueprints. And yeah, the pathing system is kind of awkward. That sounds like it would help a lot. They should patch those tutorials into the PC version.

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

I have played Planet Coaster on PC, and that game is definitely in need of an actual tutorial. You pretty much have to learn how to play by yourself or looking things up online.

Disneyland and Disney World lay off 28,000 employees amid pandemic struggles - OCR/SCNG

At this point, we don't know if Splash Mountain will ever reopen. I have come to realize that I took Disneyland for granted. I mean, I knew things could change, but I never would have expected anything like what happened. To make matters worse, plans to change my favorite ride (Splash...

Disneyland and Disney World lay off 28,000 employees amid pandemic struggles - OCR/SCNG

I really wish I had known in advance that the times I went to Disneyland in January, February, and March would be the last times the parks would be operating for a year or more, and also the last times that I would be getting mostly full experiences at the parks for a very long time to come. I...

Rumor Avengers E-Ticket More Dead Than You'd Think

Absolutely nothing good came from The Incredicoaster. I will give Mission: Breakout credit for randomized drop sequences and the Rocket AA, but I still vastly prefer Tower of Terror. Randomized drops could have easily been added to Tower of Terror. I watched a video of at least one of the...

Rumor Avengers E-Ticket More Dead Than You'd Think

I agree, with all the money they spent on Incredicoaster and Mission: Breakout, they could have built a great new E-Ticket. The future of DCA was looking so promising before Chapek came along.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

Disney never tried hiding that Splash was based on Song of the South. Song of the South is written on the Riverboat in the finale, and they even used to say the ride was based on Song of the South in the ride description on the Disneyland App. They also mentioned it was based on SOTS during...

Rumor Avengers E-Ticket More Dead Than You'd Think

The only reason we got Mission: Breakout was because Chapek wanted Marvel in the parks and he wanted it as soon as possible. He also wanted to be able to tie Mission: Breakout into the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. What you are proposing would be vastly superior to what we got and...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

Thanks so much for giving me some legitimate hope that this will get cancelled. I theorized that they couldn't justify doing it now, and I am glad that some of the insiders are thinking the same thing. Once Disney does become more financially stable, they will want to invest in actual new...

Long live the Eastern Gateway or how I learned to love the Anaheim City Council after the election.

After how low the crowds were for Galaxy's Edge opening year and how grim things look for the near future of the parks, they will have no need for the Eastern Gateway for several years, possible even a couple of decades.

Rumor Avengers E-Ticket More Dead Than You'd Think

I like all of these ideas and they would drastically improve DCA. DCA would go from that park you go to for a couple of rides when Disneyland is too crowded to a great park on if all these changes happened.

Rumor Avengers E-Ticket More Dead Than You'd Think

The most embarrassing thing at the Disneyland Resort is the Incredicoaster. If Disney cared about being embarrassed, they would have never approved that.

Rumor Avengers E-Ticket More Dead Than You'd Think

If they can't afford a carousel then they definitely can't afford to retheme Splash Mountain.

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

I feel like the last episode of The Mandalorian would have worked far better as a mid season episode than an opener. It also wasted the longer runtime. It felt like it padded for time with a lot of riding back and forth in the desert to hit a longer episode length just to please people that...

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

Silver Bullet is the only coaster with a decent capacity at Knott's, and the only one other than Ghostrider that has a decent length to it. I know it doesn't really fit where it is, but it is a necessary attraction for the park. Pony Express on the other hand is horrible and the restraints...

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opening reports and using Boarding Groups at Disneyland

I like it when you can get to a park, and as long as you get in line before the park closed, you could ride the ride that night unless it broke down.

Theme Park Reopening Guidelines to be released 10/20/20

The Splash Mountain retheme announcement made me incredibly pessimistic about the future of the parks, but all the recent layoffs point to a bleak future for the parks as well. Galaxy's Edge was supposed to be a dawn of a new era for the Disneyland Resort, instead it feels like it marked the...

    All things Knotts Berry Farm

Knott's desperately needs a high capacity coaster that lasts more than a minute. Most of Knott's coasters are far too short considering how long and slow moving the lines are for them.

    People Mover

At this point, the best chance the tracks ever have of getting removed is if something like Tron replaces Autopia. Even then, they might just remove the ones in that area and leave the rest to rot for the rest of time.
