News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

I could see them being posted to the Orange County Register, but I would think it would be an after effect thing. Basically listing them as being a document/contract that a government entity entered into, not something being proposed.

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

That is an average.... What about the hordes of Disney lawyers in the cube farm making $85K /year working on lawsuits on slip and falls generated by the slippery floors in Cosmic Ray's... With Morgan & Morgan their opposition. They balance out the $500K lawyers working on iron clad contracts...

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

Does anyone know when the documents were posted to the RCID website? If its like my town's, it's after the fact of the town select board's meeting. The public agenda has some cryptic description about signing a contract/document with no firm details listed, the board doesn't discuss the...

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

Not so fast. I was just reading on the DVC News site that point sales for February are the lowest in the 13 years that they have been tracking them, excluding the covid period..... Maybe the economy uncertainty is having an effect or the high prices of a WDW vacation. "In February 2023...

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

They are following Universal's lead. Their Endless Summer resort built on top of the old Wet N Wild location used this same construction method. Panels went up super quick. I wonder how they do in high winds or seismic motion? It looks like they have weld plates imbedded into the concrete...

News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

I thought it was the result of the lawsuits that AP'ers have filed on both coasts saying that they couldn't use their passes due to the reservation system when they wanted to. I would think it would come back depending upon how the lawsuit turns out. Of course it could just be greed.

Compare and Contrast 2 Samsung Smart TVs

Some FYI stuff: New model TV's are announced in January. They reach the stores in March-ish. During that time frame, the stores are heavily discounting the TV's to clear room for the new models. Be careful buying technology at the Club stores. From what I have seen when researching tech...

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

I wonder if those are for noise absorption. The noises of the train going through that long hard surface tunnel have to be pretty loud.

Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom Walkway

Looking at the satellite view, the end of the Sago Key is right next to the path. I could see scaffolding blocking access to the path. They could make a temporary connection further down the driveway but that would expose the back of the house of the convention center to view.

I was right. Those red spray paint dots where the "Cut Here" markings for this work.

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

To me it looks like they cut a hole so that they could stick there head down in it to see how much further scenery needs to be cut out. Notice the red dots of spray paint on the scenery. Sure looks like a "Cut here" line marking.

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

That list lists the tax payers, not the actual owners of the properties. A lot of retail leases require the lessor to pay the property taxes on their leased property. Also, some of the leases might be structured so that Disney is the landowner of the property but the tenant owns the building...
