Block Party and Were YOU at MGM?

And as for face characters, you haven't been truly shocked until you've seen Tokyo's. You know how very sheltered people think all Asians tend to look alike? Well it would seem that it works both ways, because many Jasmine's double as Belle and Aurora. And sometimes don't look good in any of...

Block Party and Were YOU at MGM?

Equity vs. AGVA vs. non-union There is definitely validity to the California talent pool being greater than the Florida pool. There is also validity in saying that staffing 2 parks of dancers is easier than 4 parks. I'm currently in Tokyo Disney, and the pool of talent available here is HUGE...

How do they coordinate where Mickey is all the time?

Tokyo Or if you're here at Tokyo Disneyland, forget all that nonsense. Just put Mickey in 2 stage shows that start at the same times, at the entrance, AND in his house. To heck with the magic. Lame. Once I was working New Year's Eve and I could see Mickey at the Countdown Parade in the...

    2008 MGM ride rumor

OMG I thought surely I was the only person on the planet that thought Doug was SO great, and I never even saw the TV show. Forget Nemo at AK and the new musical going into DisneySea next year, this was Disney's first in-park original musical. And freakin' adorable. Let the Doug-haters begin...

Cast members say Indiana Jones Stunt Show is closing (post from 2005)

As of last month, there was no closure notice given for Indy. However, the cast are on 6 month contracts only now, as opposed to the usual yearly contracts, since the motor show opened. This comes directly from Indy's cast members, and as I said, it's last month's info. But it should be...

Hallowishes- The Video! - by Tk421-sw

Wow, sounds great, I'd love to have a look at the video, and multi angle sounds even better. I'll keep an eye out for it, I'm assuming it will be posted on the boards? I'm also hoping that we get the video of the new parade too, since I hear it was redone and has a really catchy new song.

Hallowishes- The Video! - by Tk421-sw

Any chance of putting that video up again for download? I know you had turned it off for bandwidth, but if you happen to be able to put it back up for a while it would be most most appreciated! Thanks!

    From the Secret's Forum

You could have witnessed, rather than a fantasmic replacement, the much talked about addion to effects on the Fantasmic island that mirror the effects in the hub for the new fireworks. Apparently this would help ease the need to see it from the hub only...

Best Counter Service at the Magic Kingdom!

I love Pinocchio's because they have the BEST entree salad there (or did on my last visit)-- crumbled bleu cheese, walnuts, peaches, chicken, mixed greens, YUM. I hope it stays when they change the menu. Feels much better than a greasy burger.

    Lyrics questions

OK, now I watched a video of LeAnn singing the song live at Disneyland JUST to hear if I could understand her better. It seems she clearly says "So hold on to the innocence you thought you left behind..." But It doesn't sound anything like that on the album recording. Very confused, and...

Tarzan Rocks leaving in September '05

Singers and technicians too. All Equity contracts, and very likely any stunt performers fall under that as well.

    Lyrics questions

OK, so this is the second time there has been a swooping Disney ballad written for a celebration that has a section that for the life of me I can't understand the lyrics to (these female balladeers need to enunciate, methinks). First is the new LeAnn Rimes song. For the life of me I have no...

Tarzan Rocks leaving in September '05

I always found the FOTLK performers to be great. But their choreography is far simpler than the average dance position. Not only are they cheaper, but Equity will not allow them to have dancers on concrete. So anytime you see someone dancing on concrete (in a regular stage show/parade, I...

Tarzan Rocks leaving in September '05

Random quotes To clarify and come to the defense of both Disney and Disney performers, any Equity union contract (which Tarzan is/was) starts at a much greater rate than $8/hr, and is negotiable. And if they accept a Hong Kong contract, I assume they will sign an all new non-union (Equity...

A Dinosaur on the Loose in AK

Add me into the mix. I know people hate it but I laughed and smiled at all of the in-jokes there and thought it was a great way to bring a little flash to the rather serious tone of AK (which I also love). The remnants of a parking lot and the hillbilly music playing throughout are my...

    WHAT A HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT--- Cincerellabration

wbboy, don't dignify it with a response. Just let it go, much as we should just let this thread go. I'll be cheering for you in October.

    WHAT A HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT--- Cincerellabration

    WHAT A HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT--- Cincerellabration

You're welcome, wbboy29, I look forward to seeing your show in October when I get back to Florida. Hopefully at night (where everything at the castle is nicer). And the $100 for a day at TDL isn't terribly far off. $55 admission, $20 parking, no discounts or free parking for AP holders (of...

    WHAT A HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT--- Cincerellabration

Hmmm, I think until you can actually spend a lot of time at Tokyo (both as a guest and behind the scenes) and see the vastly different guest dynamic that they cater to, it's like comparing apples to oranges when you try to compare stage shows, or anything else for that matter. Enjoy what each...
