They should use some of the fictional locations in the Marvel Universe like Asgard, Wakanda or Latveria vs a boring campus. I even feel like recreating Marvel's New York with some of the fake, iconic buildings they have there would be a much better option.

The Monsters animatronics look amazing. I'm happy there's a decent amount in that ride, but it's still a far cry from how many are in something like Pirates. But the thrill aspect of that ride should make that less noticeable at least.

Neither company wants to pay for a ton of animatronics & a good dark ride is usually full of them. Both companies have become focused on having 1 or 2 showstopper animatronics: that's easier to not seem lackluster (Hi, Na'vi River) if it's a part of a thrill ride (Hagrid's for example).

There's no way it's even close. I tried doing it once but walked out when I realized it was just a clip show of cartoons I had already seen.

The Muppets aren't the same target audience as the Sesame Street gang. Most of their shows & movies are for all ages but they definitely have more of an edge to them than the Sesame Street characters.

The land itself is based around the heroes though. The Villains Land will be dark and in distress, hopefully with a sense of danger to it. We don't know if the heroes will be present in the rides or not yet; they certainly could be, especially if they based the rides on movies without rides yet...

Any recent sources for that rumor?

I was with you until this. Villains Land makes as much sense thematically as Fantasyland; infact it's just going to be the evil version of Fantasyland unless they put stuff like Zurg or Darth Vader in it.

Maybe there's active discussions about it? I could see the RnRC redo being something they've decided on post-D23 after they realized people really want the Muppets to stay. So perhaps they're still deciding on MV's fate too.

Don't they sell dining packages for Fantasmic? I can see that making as much money as LLs for some rides; I imagine Fantasmic will be safe for a long time.

I actually think that fits the chaotic nature of the Muppets a lot, especially the Electric Mayhem who are some of the most chaotic Muppets. The main issue is the height requirement which means this won't be a kid friendly Muppet attraction.

I'd love that. I imagine the space marked for the Great Muppet Movie Ride is being thought of for other properties though. The coaster, MuppetVision & a restaurant would be good enough for me.

That would've been amazing, if only... I think there's a possibility to evolve the area behind Tower into a new Muppet mini land eventually. I doubt the Villains show will be around for long. Sadly, I don't think there's room for a restaurant though.

Tbf, a good amount of the current land isn't even Muppet themed as is. I definitely would've preferred for Mama Melrose & the Christmas store to get rethemed, perhaps with a Muppets ride in the expansion plot where the Door Coaster is going. But the only real losses here are the MuppetVision...

The Hollywood Tower part could lead itself to some Muppet style humor; especially if the theory of the Villains being temporary & the Muppets taking over that theater is right. They could joke that the only place the Muppets could afford is right behind an old, haunted hotel.
