    A Spirited Perfect Ten

Just now catching up, so a little late with this post as you are now on a completely different topic. However---- How sad.. Her parents have either lost control over a very angry, out of control youth, or they have the same entitlement mentality and have taught her well. Hopefully, at some...

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

Some people are just plain idiots; not to mention being royal pains.. You get to the point of wanting to kick them in the you know where, while, at the same time, feeling bad for them and their families for leading what must be a sorry, unhappy life if they need attention that badly.

Anybody get a 35% raise last year?

What is a raise? I haven't had a raise in my pension in the last twelve years. In fact, with increasing costs of health insurance, I'm now getting less each year. CEO's get what they get whether WE think they were successful or not. If they are not successful they get fired and still make...

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

I have said before that some of these boards are a lot like religion and politics. No matter how correct and rational you think you are, you are not about to change anyone else's opinions. All you can do is put in your two cents worth and hope some others agree with you. This does not seem to...

    Disney skills.

I equate this to broken field running in football. Except I have been forced to do it in a scooter for the past ten years. I find it rather challanging and have never run anyone down. My other skill is endless patience while stopped waiting for someone or some group to decide in which...

    Maelstrom on Jeopardy

It just goes to show that there are a lot of well informed people who know little and care little about what goes on in Walt Disney World. The contestants didn't give a wrong answer, they didn't even try to answer the question.

Prices for the Polynesian DVC Bungalows

Seems to me the rational criteria for planning a vacation would be: Where do we want to go. What do we want to do. What kind of accommodations do we want. How long do we want to stay. How much will this cost. Can we afford the cost. Are we willing to afford the cost. If the answer to either of...

Some little things at the MK

Ice water in a cup is a good example of something that we do not actually have to have, but somehow think we do. The water in the drinking fountains may not be icy cold, but it will keep you hydrated. Which is the purpose of drinking lots of water in the first place.

    Goodbye BAH!!!

It came. It outstayed its welcome. Its going. its gone to the graveyard of things remembered.

Some little things at the MK

Just curious. What ever happened to using a water drinking fountain to get a drink? Or does it have to be ice water in a cup to be acceptable? Or don't they have drinking fountains anymore, for whatever reason?

    Not so magical

I can only repeat what has been said. If there is a rule and it is not enforced, it is no rule at all. If you reward bad behavior, it will only get worse. If you tell someone they are supposed to enforce a rule and they have no support in their efforts, of course they will become unhappy with...

Not happy with the plan, would you go anyway?

To put it quite simply; if you are unhappy with the plan before you even get there, it will not make you any happier once you are there. Will it mean a miserable vacation? If you can't reach some sort of an acceptable plan before you go----only you can decide.

    Not so magical

There are idiots everywhere whether they are in or out of ECVs. Licensing ECV users is probably not the answer. You have to have a license to drive a car and that does not stop idiots from driving cars. There are people who can't handle an ECV the same as there are those who shouldn't drive a...

    Ft Wilderness Railroad

We were fortunate enough to ride the train in 1974 and again in 1978. On our next trip, it was gone. After forty years of visiting WDW, my husband still talks about the train in Fort Wilderness. He says it is the one thing he most misses of all the early attractions in WDW.

    Not so magical

I cannot walk the distances involved and would not be able to enjoy WDW if I could not use my mobility scooter. I am not confined to it and can get in and out of it to walk short distances and even do some stairs. However, you have absolutely no concept of how much pain I am in when I do...

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

If you go back to somewhere near the beginning of this thread you will find that the last of the original permits for the hub construction don't expire until Nov. of 2015. Don't know if it will still take this long or if any plans have changed.

    The Spirited Back Nine ...

Accidents are a completely different story. They can back up any interstate for miles. We drive the DC beltway quite a bit, so I was talking normal heavy to backed up traffic. It once took us an hour just to get by Manassas on I-95 south of the beltway and there was no accident. If possible...
