News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

No, the show doesn’t use the WWIII barges. They finally get a vacation after years of working way harder than they needed to.

MSEP ending at Disneyland on Sept 1, WDW return in 2023?

The Brave unit sitting backstage with her insides gutted for parts would like a word with all of you asking for FoF to return to full strength…

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I wish WDI would stop trying to fit modern and contemporary design into attractions that take place in eras which wouldn’t have featured these installations. It’s a commonly recurring situation that continuously leaves me puzzled. You’re going through the trouble of fully immersing me Iin an...

News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

So the super zoom photo I took of the center barge in my iPhone isn’t supported by the site… but it definitely ain’t lowering down. It stayed up last night through the post show and into the evening, until I left World Showcase around 9:57 pm.

MSEP ending at Disneyland on Sept 1, WDW return in 2023?

The cuts are more for streetmosphere and character meets/interactions.

    Rumors. Musings. Casual.

I remember planning short weekend staycations with my parents at Pop for less than $100 a night pre-2020. We forget that some of this stuff has happened *very* recently.

    DHS RnRc Retheme?

This is pretty much why Guardians ended up being pitched to go to RnRC before Paris sent that idea off the deep end, iirc.

MSEP ending at Disneyland on Sept 1, WDW return in 2023?

Unfortunately not. Universal Orlando just saw a massive entertainment cut across all their parks, including plans for EU. This came from individuals within Universal Entertainment.

MSEP ending at Disneyland on Sept 1, WDW return in 2023?

This is actually wonderful considering Epic Universe just saw a gargantuan slash in their entertainment plans.

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

What’s always been fascinating to me is the fact that Test Track was part of Transportation’s original plans for much of it’s development. So while I can see that it’s a bit outdated and inferior to Motion, it *is* faithful to concept and purpose.

New Enhancements, Dining Options Coming to Disney’s BoardWalk

Funny enough there’s motivation for the longer timelines too. Ratatouille sat completed and ready to go for months, and TRON gave them financial breaks during COVID. I don’t think motivation is the issue. Intention is.

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

The funniest part of these signs is the fact that their illumination is controlled by a small silver switch on the concrete base. I love just sitting and watching people turn them on or off as they pass.

News Disney World Earmarks 80 Acres for Affordable Housing

Ok so let’s play devil’s advocate and say we approve this. How is a failing infrastructure going to support the lifestyle of individuals who are flocking in for affordable housing?! So noble to just dump low-income individuals and families into an area that cannot support them. This is the...

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

Yes, they were. I believe Tom Morris mentioned something in an interview with Entertainment Weekly along the lines of ‘We tried to save the Dinos as best we could, but no feasible solution presented itself’. If you scroll back in the Guardians thread a couple years, you can probably find it...

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

Yeah but they cut the Dinos so early on that it wouldn’t have mattered. I think that plan might have even been pre-Infinite Universe. Also, even utilizing DAS, I expect to spend 30-45 minutes on Cosmic Rewind each time I ride. I’d say the time spent in the pavilion is comparable, even though...

News Disney World Earmarks 80 Acres for Affordable Housing

The problem goes well beyond AT&T. The community infrastructure in our area is already beyond horrendous, despite our cost of living being astronomical. Ignoring the existing resident’s concerns while actively making them *worse* is tone deaf.

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

’Why is that sidewalk just a sidewalk?! We could fit 6 more festival booths here!’ - Jeff Vahle on any given day.

News Disney World Earmarks 80 Acres for Affordable Housing

This. I can’t even take a phone call without it dropping numerous times, and texts will not send. All this on an AT&T Unlimited 5G plan. This all sounds like such a noble plan by Disney, unless you live here. The infrastructure is abysmal but the cost of living is absurd. This is a nightmare...

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

Funny enough, EPCOT GR will often hear that Cosmic Rewind is a tad too long, especially for guests susceptible to motion sickness.
