if you don't have a car, ship a box of supplies about a week ahead of time to the resort. I did that when my DD was in diapers--shipped the dipes, wipes, snacks, etc. ahead of time. The package was at the resort when we checked in.

chocolate covered rice krispie treats....but, I recently discovered that you can order the exact same ones online directly from the bakery www.selmas.com you just can't get the mickeys there. YUM.

I spoke to someone Friday at Disney Dining, it's definitely changing back to pretty much the old menu. No mashed potatoes (replaced by potatoes au gratin) or stuffing. I think there's roasted pork in place of the chicken as well. Chocolate Cake or lemon tart for dessert. Kids meal is the same :)

we're planning on doing the same thing at some of the sit-down places :)

Overall favorite, Wilderness Lodge. Coming in a very close second, the Swan or PO-R. Our least favorite? Shades of Green. We'd stay there again, it wasn't awful....it just wasn't our favorite, LOL.

At that time of the year, I'd say the Swan. October is busy with conventions, and the Dolphin might be busier. Having said that, the Dolphin lobby is much more impressive and the quick-service restaurants and laundry are located at the Dolphin. Honestly, I don't think you can make a bad choice...

I have no doubt we'll be there at some point on Wednesday--most likely sitting under the tree on Randy's side of the stage....my daughter loves to run around over in that wooded area :)

that SWA fare sale helped me make up my mind, LOL....we're going on 10/2 :)

I was SO frustrated yesterday--the Ding fares were sold out on the dates that I needed....I am so glad it worked out that way, LOL...I was able to book a closer airport with better travel times and gain a day! Unfortunately, it means switching our Not-So-Scary day and all the TS restaurants...

6+ weeks to go here! We originally planned an offsite stay, then I got the e-mail about the free dining package, so now we're onsite :) still can't decide between October 6 or 7 for the party :rolleyes:

We were there then! I remember standing at the DTD bus stop watching all the secret service walking around on top of the wyndham resort.

Quick question about Dixie.....Riverside ;) Are the AB buildings 14, 15, & 18 considered preferred with the higher per-night charge? We stayed in bldg. 38 in April, but were in bldg. 18 last Spring and in 2000 and it really suited our needs. Thanks!

While this doesn't have a thing to do with fireworks, but is a little bit of WDW...Off Kilter will be playing at the Indy Irish Festival in September :)
