Here is another vote for Animal Kingdom Lodge. AKL has that "special resort feeling" for me.

Hey Steve, I would go with AK Lodge for 2 weeks. Since you are going to be in WDW for so long, you will have time to spend at the lodge relaxing. It is a wonderful resort, a perfect place to rest after a long day at the parks. Or you could always go with a moderate and spend 2 1/2 weeks...

We stayed at WL last March and had 3 rooms right next to each other. The ressies were under the same name, so maybe that is why they put us right next to each other. The funny thing is, we didn't request to be by each other, but it was sure nice. Have FUN!!!

Oh, I forgot about pricing... The points are between Old Key West and the Beach Club Villas, so I'm sure the cash ressies will be somewhere between them as well. It is just a guess.

I think the resort is set to open sometime in late May. It is going to be a DVC resort and from the pictures I've seen it looks very nice. The pool area also looks like a lot of fun.

Yes, I agree that this is not good news for us AP holders. Even though I am a DVC member and usually have no need for codes, we sometimes add on a couple of days at another resort and those discounts were really nice.:)

We usually book our flights really early too. Once I find a good price, we book it. With a price like that, it would be hard to pass it up.
