DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

If your kid is afraid of snakes, that's YOUR fault. I taught my son's that snakes were cool since they were toddlers. They were catching snakes on their own by about age six.

We've got to remember the population of alligators in Florida was much smaller than it is today. Alligators were still an endangered species back then. Taking that, and the fact that WDW was a recently constructed area and the alligator population in the parks waters was likely to be very low.

Got to be honest, it always bothered me to a degree. I'm quite into nature, and I'm always looking into the water for living things.

That's what I'm wondering. If they are going to dig the whole thing out? I guess they have to even if they do go through with a waterway as pictured in the latest concept art.

The boardwalk, or at least A boardwalk is visible in the newer concept art. So as of now, they appear to plan on keeping it or replacing it.

They might. The aesthetic of creating a mountain water area can certainly lend itself to clear streams and waterfalls. Vs the muddy waters of Tom Sawyer.

Curious to see what they are going to do with the river bed. That is, if they retain a portion of the water as indicated in the newer concept art - do they retain that portion of the bed? Or will they tear the whole thing out, and build a new section?

I saw that post of his, and immediately contrasted it to Disney's current bought of being clueless.

Hey... THAT works! As there is a riverboat so prominently a part of that film. It's kind of mind boggling how Disney is so bone headed. They could have leaned into the riverboat as part of Tiana's at WDW.

The river and the boat? Absolutely. You're seriously going to make a comparison of that to a fry cart?

Disney back in the day recognized that maximization all there was to the parks. That's why when you entered Disney Land or World, you got an experience outside any you had ever had before. There were exciting things, and there were calm and relaxing aesthetics as well.

I'm not talking about the subject matter. I am talking about Disney's choice to create an aesthetic of calm, and openness.

Because guests come to the parks and spend money anyway. Why destroy scenic areas just to wring more money out of them, and continue to destroy what made the park special?
