    Strangest Issue on an Attraction

I think many can agree that ride is the stuff of nightmares anyway

What would you do with a kid free evening?

Lapu-lapu from the Tambu lounge upstairs in Poly is a good place to start!

What would you do with a kid free evening?

We usually put the kiddo in Lilos Playhouse or the AKL one (Simbas Den maybe?) for a few hours one evening - our plan involves either a Monorail "Bar Crawl" or a trip to Disney Springs. I put "Bar Crawl" in quotes because we just don't have the stamina we used to...but we'll hit a nice bar at...

    Comparisons To Expedition Everest Drop

Just to pile on... I am also a dropping weenie. I don't mind high speed, upside down or twists and turns but hate drops. I've been trying to be better so my 6 year old doesn't develop any weenie like tendencies... The drops in EE are mild for me...like a previous poster mentioned Splash Mtn...

    Trip Ruined by Hurricane/Storm?

We were there end of August/beginning of September last year. We got the tail end of this girl. We got wet but it certainly didn't ruin the trip. In fact got a great view the fireworks on the night it started coming through. Just had to wade through 8 inches of swirling water to get to it...

    Gyms

I've only been in the one at AKL and GF (we were staying at Poly) and at times I was the only one in there. Of course I would usually go if we came back to the room for a mid-day break so that may be why... I did the challenge last year but I'm super jealous of this years medals! Doing the 2...

    Gyms

I'm they same way about having to get a couple of runs in even after all the Disney walking. It's partially about needing to run and partially about needing to eat ice cream ;). Maybe it's the times I'm in there but I don't think I've ever seen more than 2 or 3 others in the fitness center...

Do they speed up rides during peak periods?

Are you certain about that? I think we would have heard something on this site about a nose being broken in EPCOT if that had actually happened...

Do they speed up rides during peak periods?

I once saw a family of 4 flung from CoP due to increased rotation speed. Not sure why it never made the news....

GQ Style magazine publishes first ever menswear fashion shoot at Walt Disney World Resort

I was referring to the couture on the 7 young men standing behind the tourist in the white capri pants.

December 2017 trip, two "rookie" adults. Looking for advice!

Except for a few exceptions, showing up in your park gear is fine. Even in places where you'd expect a little better attire (signature restaurants, for example) it's quite common to see people who just "come as they are"....for better or worse.

December 2017 trip, two "rookie" adults. Looking for advice!

With all due respect I think the Skipper Canteen has better (or at least as good) food vs. Be Our Guest. My opinion, obviously. They also have beer and wine available now. The theming at BOG is probably better but the Canteen is nothing to shake a stick at... Completely agree with you about...

GQ Style magazine publishes first ever menswear fashion shoot at Walt Disney World Resort

Frankly I love the vivid colors and the vintage fit. I was a little unsure about the caps but after looking again I really think they play off of the mining picks quite well. It's also nice to see them featuring cutting edge fashion on people of smaller stature. Bravo.

DAK PHOTOS - My Disney Experience Mobile Ordering is coming to Pandora in the Satu'li Canteen

I can't wait until a tour group shows up and all 75 people hit "I'm here" at the same time. Listen for the faint sounds of screaming coming from the kitchen. All joking aside - I appreciate the direction of the menu. Just keeps reaffirming that AK is the best food park, in my opinion.

Any ideas when resorts will offer discounts for November?

For the longest time I thought travel agents were part of a bygone era, replaced by the ability to do your own research and booking online. But a couple of years ago we started using one to book our Disney stays and haven't looked back. It's nice for them to be able to do the legwork for you...

Your favorite breakfast spots at WDW?

I second...third...fourth...Kona for breakfast. Also a thumbs up for GF Cafe (good special pancakes), Boma has a good buffet - offerings you won't find in others (other than Tusker House in AK). We like The Wave in Contemporary for a solid (under appreciated??) buffet for a resonable (WDW...

    Uber pick-up from resort

Not to turn this thread into a car seat discussion but we recently picked up a thing called mifold... it's a fold up "booster" seat. We can throw it in a backpack and use it in taxis on the go... I think it's worth a look depending on what your travel needs are.

    Where to eat?

I throw in a second on sci-fi and Hoop de Doo. Our 6 year old loves both. She was especially enamored with Hoop de Doo. I would also say Whispering Canyon but only if you happen to be staying at Wilderness Lodge. I'm not sure I would make it a destination.
