Trip Report Great Time in July!!

Nice report. I am glad to hear that you had a good time and chose to step away from the negativity. If you listen to too many people on these boards you would think WDW was going to hell in a handbasket, but IME that is really not the case.

Opinions on my daily plans/FP times

I think it sounds like a good plan. My only suggestion would be to consider not using the FP for Nemo at AK and book a FP for the safari in the afternoon. We have often done a standby safari in the morning before the lines get long and then done it again with a FP later in the day. You see...

Great Movie Ride revised - warning

I do not let my kids watch anything, but I do let them watch SW. Please watch with the insinuations that those of us who let are kids watch SW aren't up to some perfect parenting standard.

    Wasps

After reading this post several times I can only assume that is sarcastic and a joke. If so, well done it works really well as a joke. If this is actually serious well then lets just say let me know and I will respond to each section.

Would appreciate all the planning help I can get! :)

IMO BTMRR is better, it is unfortunate that it will be closed when you are there. We are going in September and have the same issue. That being said, 7DMT is a great enjoyable ride as well, again IMO.

Great Movie Ride revised - warning

Be the judge for your own kids, but I took mine 5, 3, <1 on the ride the last time we were there and it was not even a little bit of an issue.

When you think early morning Frozen cash grab event at Epcot is going to happen?

I would do it in a heartbeat, my kids love Frozen and it would make their trip. I would say the same thing about something SW related.

    Half-hour return time frame ?

You can select return times that are less than an hour before park closing. We had a ToT FP+ for 7:25 -8:00 on a night that HS closed at 8. It just recently updated though as they extended the hours to 9.

    Frozen Ever After FP+?

While I totally understand your annoyance. Imagine how much more you would be annoyed if you could only go once every few years, spent the extra money to stay on property, and go to book your FP+ for a "must-do" attraction and couldn't get it even though you got on right at the start of the FP+...

I need advice, or help, or an alcoholic beverage!!! Or all three!

There is no longer a FP+ for A&E since it has moved back to Epcot, but from what I have heard it is usually a pretty short wait. You no longer have to book additional FP+ at kiosks, you can do it in the MDE app. Not sure yet if you can book for a different park than the one you are in that way...

    Half-hour return time frame ?

If the park closes at 9:30, your return time will end at 9:30.

    Has EPCOT failed?

Well first of all, it has not been the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow for quite a while now, it is simply Epcot. Also, I have no problem with the educational aspects, and I would have no problem with them keeping that. However, I also have no problem with them going away from that...

    Frozen Ever After FP+?

But on the other hand, if you are local and have an AP, you likely have many, many more opportunities to visit and get that FP+, perhaps at a lower crowd time than people that are traveling and staying at the resort.

    Has EPCOT failed?

I don't mind the edutainment, Epcot has always been one of my favorite parks, my point was that I don't care if the educational aspect stays or not. I am far more interested in being entertained.

    Frozen Ever After FP+?

Yes I was able to get one at 60. Yes they are. That is the point of it being an advantage to staying at the resort you get to book FP+ at 60 days. If they held some for 30 days, it wouldn't be as much of an advantage.

    Has EPCOT failed?

Maybe I am the only one, I don't know, but quite frankly I don't care. I am not on vacation to be educated, I am on vacation to be entertained. I work with technology on a daily basis and learn about it constantly, I would rather have a break on my vacation.

    Disney Brand Loyalty

My kids all have a ton of Disney stuffed animals and love the characters. They are also obsessed with Frozen, Cars, Toy Story, Star Wars etc. I think there is plenty of loyalty being built with the younger generations. Kids never like the same things as their parents, times change, you may not...

Possible to avoid Star Wars at DHS?

I have not been there in about a year, but when I went it last it was certainly possible to avoid most of the SW stuff. That being said, we have the opposite problem, I have to try and fit everything SW possible in the next time that we go. My DS (6) is a huge SW nut!

    Has EPCOT failed?

I think FutureWorld could use some work and updating, although I still love SSE and TT. That being said, I think that WS is still awesome!

    Wasps

So now Disney is responsible for compensating someone for getting stung while outside? Do I have to compensate someone if they get stung while sitting on my patio? I am sure that they do spray for insects, and I agree that we really need to be careful about chemicals that kill bees, we need...
