    Hot take of sorts

I think the 1989-2005 period was the best era for the parks. Eisner knew what he was doing.

MK Astro Orbiter closing for extended refurbishment in Mid-January 2025

Hopefully they close it and keep it closed. Waste of space.

WOW - What a week at WDW

The tipping for fast food in various restaurant apps kills me. WTH

WOW - What a week at WDW

In Florida, employers can reduce a tipped employee's wages by $3.02 per hour. While the current state minimum is $8.98, the wages for waiters is $5.96 minimum.

    Prices up…profits down…

Disney is suffering from the changing demographics of the era (smaller families, for example, or no families at all for many); economics (wages not keeping up with expenses); changing tastes; and increased competition. Coupled with unsustainable price increases, and add-ons that cause the cost...

Rumor Are the Simpsons moving from USF to DHS?

This is a continuously popular IP that has lasted well over 30 years. A fictional Springfield makes sense, especially given that the people who grew up on the Simpsons are the ones who have the money now. It fits DHS with zero problems, since they appear to be dividing the lands by IP and not...

    WDW Hot Takes

The Seven Seas Lagoon has become a logistical nightmare in regards to parking and transportation, and -with an aging Monorail- should be removed.

WDW wins real estate tax law suite

Disney sold The Disney Inn (Shades of Green) to the DOD in 1996 for $43 million; there is precedent.

The county could sue Mr. Singh, the tax assessor, for knowingly using a formula that was not standard in the state of Florida, a breach of fiduciary duty.

What happened to the child in Carousel of Progress?

Iger removed her for cost-cutting reasons.

    Does the TTC Need TLC?

Since they are tearing down everything else, just remove the TTC. Fill in the Seven Seas Lagoon and pave us a new parking lot where we can walk to the Magic Kingdom. Disney could kill two birds with one stone and finally put the knife to the monorail system, too. Just food for thought...

How long do you think Carousel of Progress has left until its either updated or removed?

They should have put their Cars land in the space behind Carousel, and left the Rivers of America alone; then got rid of the Speedway

Thoughts on Cars Attractions and RoA

There is land north of Big Thunder for the Cars area. The charm of Frontierland and Liberty Square will be lost, especially the loss of the Riverboat. A pox on Disney and it's current leadership is warranted.

    Tom Sawyer Island

It's a real shame since the "river" and the island tie Liberty Square and Frontierland together nicely. I'll miss the Riverboat. The Magic Kingdom is losing its charm.

MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Horrible decision, with the "heart" of both Liberty Square and Frontierland gone. It's too bad they couldn't just dock the Riverboat somewhere for a dinner spot.

    Tom Sawyer Island

I could see them reducing the island's footprint, but not get rid of it altogether. Older visitors love the Liberty Square Riverboat ride, and they use it for a dinner party, so maintaining the island makes practical sense. The riverboat needs a waterway to tour, which naturally means an island...

Do any carts in Epcot Germany sell Spezi?

Remember as well that Coca-Cola and Fanta in Europe use pure cane sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. HFCS is banned in Europe. Really only the US continues to use that abomination. This greatly impacts the taste, and the experience.
