If Disney wants to "lower Attendance" then Build a 5th Park..

Im not waiting another 8 years for Disney to build a new 5th gate, they wont-not if the can continue to charge for every breath visitors take, and the not already money pinching ideas not implemented already. While reviewing my December reservation, I noticed that housekeeping choices were none-...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

For years prior to SWGE, Disney did nothing to curb capacity, then the bright idea to re-theme everything to make it IP only was lipstick on a pig. The big change IMO-is when Iger renamed the theme parks to the "market" place. Just because they decided to add a few more very expensive (and...

Poll: Is Genie+ a financially sound business move for Disney?

Me thinks it wont be enough $ to justify the loss of good will. Don't just look at local attendance, 1 time visitors etc. Locking out folks whom don't live in the US is where Disney will see the biggest hit IMO.

For Genie+, LL and extra charge to skip big attraction waits- They would certainly remove the reservation system

is it me or does everything that they are doing AP prices/cutbacks, Genie, entertainment, park reservations, underwhelming start of the 50th (and the list goes on) look like what they did to hinder crowds like when SGE was opening? it appears they want to have empty parks and resorts

What would be your splurge merch purchase if money was (sort of) no object?

prices ranged from $700 to 2k depending on the size, was in Disney Springs this May, and they still had several so good luck. Everyone who see's them in our house-love them. Edit- sorry- my quotes didn't work for some reason- this was in response to Thomas Kinkade painting.

What would be your splurge merch purchase if money was (sort of) no object?

My big purchase's have been the Thomas Kinkade Disney painting's- Have 5 of them, 3 are signed on the backs with drawings from each theme on painting.

There is a balance, to say you want to make more $, but anger the audience you wish to extract those dollars from is moot. Not sure I follow that logic. Not saying your wrong, but Image is everything to Disney, and they have had a few missteps during a bad downtime.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Well-all the talk of the data mining Disney received from magic bans, other trends etc- obviously didn't work to the favor they intended. 87% dislike ratio on youtube videos suggests otherwise. But this has been a trend where companies relay on data for X, so the use it to decide Y, but never...
