If they're using Cosmic Rewinds ride system, I can't seem them not using a launch; even if its a slow incline launch ( or push) like Cosmic Rewind does before the helix around the moon.

Unfortunately WestCot is longggg gone, if a 3rd park does get built at Disneyland, it'll probably IPcot... which would just be all single IP lands meshed together

Iger keeps on talking about expansion in Disneyland, saying the resort can grow by 50%... I can't help but think Disneyland Forward would just turn into a third gate.

I believe the diameter of the new building is slightly bigger than the original one.

Seeing a volcano "mountain" on this plot, like the plans for Fire Mountain called for, would have been amazing, imagine seeing pop out of the trees as you approach the Magic Kingdom on the Ferry Boats.

I did hear rumblings months ago that Disney was looking at drones to incorporate in some way for a nighttime show at Animal Kingdom, although I haven't heard anything since; they had a lot of logistics they had to work out. But seeing drones testing on WDW property is certainly an encouraging sign

I haven't heard anything about this project starting any time soon either, for any of the 3 parks... guess we'll have to wait until D23 and see if they can show us a model or 3D visualization of the ride... knowing Disney tho, it'll probably be another vague piece of concept art with a total new...

If they did a completely indoor land for Pandora that could be cool, but I agree this park need something more than just a boring boat ride. I'm just wondering what will happen first... a 3rd land around the new lake or opening the elusive Avengers E-Ticket 😂

that would be a terrible decision if true, the animated version is a classic, and looks timeless.

@marni1971 interested to hear your thoughts on their Adventureland? We visited back in 2019, but felt that land was lacking something, couldn't put my finger on it. A Disney Adventureland without Pirates doesn't feel right, that Flume concept they had a while ago would work perfect for this...

Bumping this thread... do we have any other updates or movement on this project? Zootopia seems like a success so I would assume Shanghai Disneyland is eager for more expansion

Agreed. Either way, that New Fantasyland expansion should have added one more dark ride, even it was on the scale of Pooh, there should have been one more addition.

They wanted to get Frozen into the parks ASAP after realizing how popular the film became, re-theming a ride is much faster... especially when we're talking about the speed (or lack there of) that Disney builds at. And while the idea works for a park like HKDL, I don't believe the Magic Kingdom...

Could have sworn I've seen very very early plans or ideas for a Skyliner type transport before Disney even announced their version years backs.

I agree with most of what you said, although, imo, I don't think Marvel should be in the castle parks, that should be for true Disney IPs not acquired IPs

Is this space even seriously being considered to get a greenlight soon? I haven't heard any new recent rumors, and every time I do hear something about this, the budget is always getting cut, and then its put on hold...

It would certainly help if both parks are funding this, but from what I understand I think this is strictly a DLP project. And as much as I want to see a Lion King ride somewhere at WDW, WDS needs some things that are original to that park.
