I totally agree! I was just trying to point out that I try not to let 'kids on shoulders' bother me. :D

I enjoy the cool temp's, after 6 months of 90 degrees every day, its nice to not have to sweat walking around the park even at night. And as far as the little kids on shoulders...anything that makes a child's experience better I am all for. These parks are so much more for kids than us, I try...

I remember when they used to light up the East side of the Contemporary with alternating red and green lights at Christmas time. That looked amazing!....but like the big wreath...gone. :cry:

It also means when the rain ends tomorrow, expect the parks to be PACKED!!!

Yes on the first part, you can buy anything at the noted restaurants and you'll get the coupon. No on the Main Street Bakery, because the only shop that honors the discount at the Magic Kingdom is the Emporium. They sell bags of Disney coffee in the Emporium, but I have a feeling you wanted...

You get the coupon anytime you eat at the locations. But the discount can only be used in the stores from opening until 1pm. All the way till beginning of Jan. So basically, you eat dinner one night at the park, save the coupon...the next morning go to the store and buy stuff. :) (or any...

And don't forget in Florida there is no state income tax :)

Or look near the Airport...Lake Nona area is very good school district and is quiet and building up very well. And only 30-45 min from Disney.

I agree with Funmeister, people underestimate our summers. We have a 6 month summer of 90 deg heat, every day. It can really wear you down. Also, as it's been noted, being close to Disney only means dealing with tourists on a regular basis...grocery stores, Wal Marts, gas stations, everywhere...

Has Disney ever done the Christmas Parade taping NOT on a Friday/Saturday before?

Ask any cast member that works Magic Kingdom and they will all tell you they are used to it. It comes with the territory. Not saying they all like it.

Not to mention, the usual extension is an hour...Tuesday night was a 2 hour extension! So if you did stay till the end, I'm sure you pretty much had the park to yourselves (so to speak). Not many locals staying out till Midnight on a night before work Wed.

Could be a sign that Thanksgiving week and Christmas/New Years will be more crowds than in the past years....we'll see.

I'm pretty sure in years past, they perfomed the last DAWM show while the Castle lights were lit. I'm just in favor of there being 1 Castle lighting show each night. Just my opinion.
