News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

I like the idea but at the risk of raining on the parade I'd rather they did something with Philharmagic that supports Hollywood Blvd, since the area is shrinking to begin with. Naturally, that assumes they don't intend to alter the street. Avatar land may have only one attraction, but it's one...

Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

I may sound dissenting, but I see a lot of value in your philosophy. In this specific case though, I think that animation may be a boon to this ride. Screen based rides will always face an uphill battle due to, as you put it, "actual things to look at." Taking Rise of the Resistance as an...

Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

Your comment about screens coming to live theater really resonates. I remember seeing Mary Poppins years ago and being pulled out of the experience in a scene where Bert makes projected letters appear in the sky. I rarely think of this because I have a low opinion of the show, but in Catch Me If...

News Peter Pan's Flight scene updates

Precisely, a land based scene ought to have been replaced with a land based scene and I'll go as far to add one that doesn't involve animals of a similar genus to others previously seen in the attraction. That also contributes to making the experience feel smaller.

Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

You really could be talking about movies as well as attractions here and I stand by you on which method I prefer. However, knowing the route that they will take, I wanted to point out that there are advantages and opportunities yet unrealized. Subconsciously it might feel different to me...

Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

You have good reason to think so, but I didn't see merit in comparing the two because Avengers is years ahead of Avatar in development. The consensus is Shanghai's Pirates of the Caribbean ride system has nothing to prove, so I'm more curious about what they can do with Peter Pan.

Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

I have unwarranted levels of optimism because I believe there are a wealth of potential advancements that dovetail the ride system chosen. I don't really expect animatronics, or at least not as many as Jurassic World. However, Runaway Railway brought to life a concept that I'd pondered for years...

Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

I've seen video of that Jurassic World ride before and it is definitely top of the line! While it speaks to the potential of AID, I can only hope that Imagineers have taken notice. An Avengers ride should at least have some degree of intensity. It would seem that they do have something up their...

Will Disneyland Park get a new ride for its 75th Anniversary?

I shudder at the notion of having so long to wait, but a new Tomorrowland would seem like a prudent way for them to celebrate the seventy-fifth. Alongside any revival of the land I would imagine that the Innoventions building would become something more than a lounge. This far out's it's hard to...

    All things Knotts Berry Farm

I agree; experiencing it for the first time last year I think the exposition needed some work. They did have videos playing in line but I don't believe they got the job done. However, I'm more curious to see if they will have adapted Bloodlines after the light guns disappeared. I was excited to...

It's a Small World and Jungle Cruise down for maintenance beginning September 16th. IASW reopening Nov. 15th apparently with holiday overlay.

This is hopefully their time to finally fix the tiger scene, which has too long been woeful.

My initial thought, which I hope proves correct, is that the songs would alternate verses in English and Spanish.

This has always really confused me. Almost twenty years before they were able to design Fantasmic to be hidden during the day. I’m not sure how they slipped up here.

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

I'm still the odd man who thinks that 'gunner' is the only position desperate for a reworking. However, I remain surprised that they haven't implemented an 'autopilot' feature for those who want to enjoy the ride without interacting.

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

For what it's worth, the first time I rode Smuggler's Run I had no idea that he was a preexisting character. Even so, it was easy enough to pick up on who he was as far his role in the ride is concerned.

News Coco Boat Ride Coming to Disney California Adventure

Pardon, but aren't we talking about a tourist destination building something shiny to tempt Olympic visitors rather than city infrastructure?
