Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

Shoot, I was really hoping it wasn't a standard closing time. I'm visiting the park on Saturday and am now disappointed about the loss of virtual queue because that at least seemed to keep the ride open.

I wonder if this was a fluke. We'll find out tonight.

News New Haunted Mansion Grounds Expansion, Retail Shop Coming to Disneyland Resort in 2024

A tough question. Primarily I feel they ought to break up the plain exterior, perhaps by stenciling Madam Leota's incantation under the eaves in Latin or French. They might paint some Crump-esque symbols and designs on the front or sides. After all, isn't the premise that Leota converted the...

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

I would agree with you about it seeming inevitable except that Universal already turned Snow White into a freedom fighter a few years back. Incidentally, that was my first thought after acclimating to the dwarf's baffling designs. It seems so strange to me that they would be cribbing a rival...

News New Haunted Mansion Grounds Expansion, Retail Shop Coming to Disneyland Resort in 2024

I don’t think so. The bothersome part is that this cost saving move is so obvious as there is little regard for decorating the structure in a way that masks its origins and makes it feel at home at Disneyland. It’s apparantly just saving money for the sake of it. Surely some of what they saved...

"Disneyland looking to ‘amplify’ its lands following Bayou Country retheme"

Interesting, if what was done in New Orleans Square is any indication this may be beneficial. I'm intrigued that Galaxy's Edge was mentioned; not too long ago a similar rumor came out of nowhere.

Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

Indeed, I really am holding out for them to surprise us with this one. Beijing's Jurassic World is a great example of how such a ride system can be elevated. It's important to the overall health of DCA that that Avengers is ambitious.

Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

If it helps, I think the odds are better here because Peter Pan was never intended to be Fantasy Springs headliner attraction. Infinity Defense is meant to anchor the land.

I always forget about Waldo too, which I take as my brain doing me a favor. As for the reaction to Muppetvision’s closure I can only guess it’s a lightning rod for the notion that Disney doesn’t care about the Muppets, generally content to let them languish.

Just watched the trailer and it may just be me but there seems to be an odd dissonance seeing the series signature style, designed for animation, appearing in live action.

News New Haunted Mansion Grounds Expansion, Retail Shop Coming to Disneyland Resort in 2024

Once in Indianapolis I went to one as a part of the 'Midwestern Experience.' That was before they had expanded to California. I wouldn't rave about the experience but I might go again if I happened to be passing one. The most memorable part of it was the random screams I heard occasionally. I...

News New Haunted Mansion Grounds Expansion, Retail Shop Coming to Disneyland Resort in 2024

Can't recall where I read this, but supposedly a more varied and interesting queue was intended before funds were syphoned away to the ride as it went over budget. Seems to be a theme at Galaxy's Edge unfortunately.

Of all the deviations from the artwork, this one stands out to me the most. It really sold the structure as a former carriage house.

It's Time for the Original World of Color to Return

I'm not sure any version of World Of Color has utilized the full potential inherent in their fountain array. I would vote for a brand new show.

I'd like to protest, but some years ago I went to Disneyland with friends and we attended Lincoln in the early afternoon. As the lights came up I was dismayed to see that every one of them had fallen asleep!

Big Thunder Mountain Refurb starting 11/18-no ending date

I realize that there is some story of a curse on the mine. However, if I didn't know that and the written description was all I knew before my first ride, I would be left wondering what about it was haunted. I feel like previous descriptions simplified it as a runaway mine train and I think that...

A "haunted gold mine?" That's an odd way to describe it.

Avengers Campus: Food, Entertainment, M&G, Environment Updates

Certainly, but I was thinking of the recent purge of actors who have unionized as a possible catalyst. Or, if not that, the fact that it is a stunt performer who likely comes with a different fee and requirements as well. As was said, I'm sure the show could be rewritten to only include the...
