    Good Story On Costs

I was a huge fan of WDW when my kids were little, we went to Oralndo around 5 times over those years. The first trip was under $3000 out the door everything. A decade later, almost triple that. We used the same rationale, that the kids were only kids once. My mild regret is that WDW/Uni once...

    Good Story On Costs

"A luxury good is a non-essential product. Consumers don't need luxury goods to live. Examples include clothing from high-end designers, designer luggage and handbags, jewelry and watches, high-end vehicles, over-the-top vacations and real estate, and certain services, such as a live-in nanny."...

    Good Story On Costs

The silver lining I guess is that empty parks won't generate profit, so WDW will find a balance that maximized profit. Only one can be true.... WDW is doing great, and therefore the prices are correct WDW is not doing great, and therefore the prices will be adjusted I assume prices will have...

    Good Story On Costs

They need to stop doing this. There should be some kind of warning, like on cigarettes. It's gross to me. Disney crack.

    Good Story On Costs

WDW is a kind of bad example of this as it is a luxury good nobody has to purchase. Getting priced out of a luxury good or service is almost part of the very definition. The bigger picture is families are being priced out of everything (WDW included). Mark my words, the biggest problem as far...

So You Can't Stand The Small World Song, Eh?

Stinking that bad in public, especially if you know what smell is, is almost a category of assault. I'd be ok with making it illegal. I mean, you can't throw a cup of urine on somebody anymore and not get an assault charge.... so why should you be able to throw aerosolized\vaporised forms of...

How much does your average Disney World vacation cost?

Woah! Interesting. So like me, it falls into the $5,000-$10,000 for most everybody. I wonder what the financial demographics are for that price range. Like, are most household incomes under or above $100,000 if you spend $5k-$10k? Even if you're above, it still feels like poor value for the...

So You Can't Stand The Small World Song, Eh?

I like the song. Good thing too since we had a breakdown on the ride and got a 10x dose once.

    WDW Security vs. Universal

I think drones being so super cheap, kinda negate park security. Anybody, for $300, can fly you in whatever little weapon you want. ...but I get it, they are trying to address casual gang shenanigans and drunk people skirmishes and not so much professional terrorists. My bag check incident...

    Why not remove Cinderella's Castle

Probably because I am old, but this sounds EXACTLY like what should be said. Seriously, help an old dude out, why isn't a princess castle problematic?!?

What WDW Job Would You Want?

That's a good one! I have often said if I worked at Six Flags, that's what I would want to do. ...same goes for WDW too I would imagine. That or maintenance for parks and/or trains. At Six Flags I believe the engineers do some train maintenance too.

What WDW Job Would You Want?

That is a LOT of work, but still mad respect. :)

Poll: For those who curbed visits or stopped visiting Disney Parks, what are your top reasons?

Isn't that kinda how businesses are run? Max investor payout now, big bonus, golden parachute, then it is the next person's problem.

Your observations are being corroborated now by multiple vloggers I binge-watched on YouTube last week.

    Halloween or Christmas party——pick one

If the whole family (incl parents if applicable) can go, then Christmas. Just 2 people? Halloween. The logic is simple, Christmas is a family holiday, and Halloween you can darn near solo.

Poll: For those who curbed visits or stopped visiting Disney Parks, what are your top reasons?

👉Crowd levels are too high.👈 Although word is this may be changing. I don't mind expensive, so long as the experience is commensurate with the price. Too many cuts for that to be possible. I will say the planning requirements are a bit ridiculous, but I figure they are related to the...

Death in Family or Family Emergency While at WDW

Shutdown ville? I'll speed up the process... Old guy here. Lots of people dying around me now. It is what it is. It will be. There is a new trend happening, and I like it a lot. It is a celebration of life ceremony. It is like a funeral, except it doesn't suck. You focus on how great the...

When did Disney start overpromising and under delivering?

I'm not as deep a fan as most of you, but I witnessed firsthand the change in the parks from 2012-2022. That decade demonstrated a notable (and I have) shift the the whole park vibe. ...not for the better. And, fair enough, covid did not help things. I don't know what CEO was at the reigns in...
