    Help me choose...

For me personally, the quality of our trips is so much higher when we do not have to suffer through the insane heat of summer. I would take a shorter trip during the fall over a longer one in the summer any day.

    Saturday morning/kids show nostalgia thread.......

That is so weird...I have no memory of that show, but when I clicked the link I recognized the song and even remembered most of the words to it...so I must have watched it! The Littles was probably my all time favorite Saturday morning cartoon. I also liked the Smurfs and Galaxy High School.

No clue what to do with 6th full day

We always plan our off day during the half way point of our trip. And I usually do not plan ahead what we are going to do, because in the past when I have done that we usually end up doing something different than what I had planned! So I just leave the day totally open, and we do whatever we...

What Will Be The Most Crowded Weekend Jan 2011?

Probably MLK weekend (which is the weekend of Jan. 15)

    Do your kids do autographs?

I personally prefer not to do them. To me it always seemed to be a hassle (a small hassle, but a hassle none the less) to get the autograph books out and ready every time, then to get them back so I could hold them during the picture taking, etc... And I feel like it eats up character...

    Base tickets

I plan ahead of time which park we are going to visit each morning/evening based on operating hours, parade/show times, EMH, crowd level predictions, special events, ADR availability, etc... and many times it ends up that the one park will be ideal for us on a morning, but another park is better...

    Base tickets

That depends on how your family spends their days at WDW. Alot of families, especially those with young kids, take afternoon breaks at their resort everyday....so they are leaving a park and returning to one later in the day anyway, whether it is the same park or not.

    Base tickets

I'm the opposite of some of the other posters. I get the park hopper on our longer trips, but not the shorter trips. On our longer trips we are much more likely to want the flexibility of the park hoppers, and are more likely to utilize them enough to justify the extra cost. However, when we...

Disney Packages "Travel Insurance" - Am I missing something?

It doesn't hurt to shop around for travel insurance. There are many companies that provide it, and they have a variety of plans that you can customize to suit your needs so that you are not paying for coverage you don't need. I recently booked a non Disney trip through a tour company, and the...

Best tip for kids in the heat?

The best advice I can give is to get to the parks at opening and leave after lunch (or make lunch adr's at a resort). Spend the hottest part of the day resting/swimming at your resort, then head back out to the parks in the early evening. This past summer, I could not take it anymore when it...

    Memorial Day crowds

If you are used to going the week before Christmas, then you will think the moderate crowds of Memorial Day week are a dream. We were there during that time last year (Saturday-Friday). Memorial Day was actually the least crowded day for us (we were at the MK that day). The crazy summer...

    Black Friday Fight (video)

And that is one of the many reasons I don't do Black Friday. I saw pics of people camping out in tents on the sidewalk of Best Buy last night. Nothing is worth that to me. There will be plenty of more sales and deals to be had between now and Christmas (and after Christmas)...many of which...

    summer in disney

This year we were at WDW from May 29-June 4, then back again on June 8th after taking a Disney Cruise. Crowd wise....5/29-6/4 was not bad at all. Moderate crowds, and very tolerable for me (and I hate crowds at WDW!!). Even Memorial Day was fine (in fact, it was our least crowded day at the...

    Thomas Kinkade Paintings

While I am not familiar with claims Kinkade himself has made in the past about his paintings, I do know that on his website and in the official galleries (at least the ones I have purchased from) it is made very clear that the work you are buying is a reproduction of an original Kinkade painting...

    Checking in a Car Seat

http://www.kidsflysafe.com/ The CARES harness is an awesome product. It is not that great for toddlers, even though the directions say a child can start using it at 22 pounds...the child needs to be old enough to understand that they need to keep it buckled since it uses the airplane seat...

Advice on Best location for a 1br Villa @ Villas wilderness lodge.

We were unlucky once and had one facing the bus stop....we did not like it at all because we love to sit on our balcony (we had a baby at the time, which meant naps....so we spend alot of time on the balcony). We have faced both the pool/courtyard area, and towards the trees in front of Bay...

    December Weather

The two times we have been in December we had a mix of temps. We had days where it was warm enough for shorts and tshirts, and days where we froze...all in the same week. Most nights were cool or cold, however I remember one MVMCP where we were in short sleeves and it was warm....not even...

    memorial day week

We were there during that time last year and it was not too bad. The heat was awful for us, but as far as crowds go it was fine (and this is coming from someone who has a low tolerance for crowds at WDW!). It was busy, but nowhere near other holiday weekend/week crowds or summer crowds...

Do You Think We'll Have Time Do Anything Before Lunch?

We always do three days at MK as well. When we take 7 day trips, we usually do 3 at MK, 2 at Epcot, 1 at DHS or AK, and one non park day. And I still end the trip feeling like we did not get enough time in the MK! It has nothing to do with accomplishing every attraction. We just love being...
